• Wollman Rink - Located in the southern part of Central Park, Manhattan, Wollman Rink is a public ice rink named after the Wollman family, who funded its original construction. Open for ice skating from late October to early April.

• Gapstow Bridge - This rustic stone bridge, covered in vines, blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. It spans the narrow neck of the Pond and is a popular spot for scenic views and photography. Featured in films like Home Alone, Jersey Girl, and King Kong.

• The Pond at Central Park - The Pond is perfect for relaxation, surrounded by lawns for sunbathing and picnicking, strolling paths, and numerous benches. Rock outcrops and other spots along the shore offer views of the water and its resident waterfowl, including egrets, black-crowned night herons, and various ducks. The u-shaped water body wraps around the Hallett Nature Sanctuary, a wooded, rocky hill with rustic trails.

• Central Park Zoo - Situated at the southeast corner of Central Park, the 6.5-acre Central Park Zoo is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society.

• The Dairy Visitor Center and Gift Shop - The Dairy, a Victorian cottage designed by Calvert Vaux and built between 1869 and 1871, is at the heart of the Children’s District. Originally, it provided fresh milk and snacks for children and their caregivers.

• Chess & Checkers House Visitor Center - Built in 1952, the Chess & Checkers House offers a space for visitors of all ages to play games. The octagonal brick structure is surrounded by 24 game tables shaded by a wooden trellis.

• Balto Statue - This bronze statue of Balto, created by Frederick Roth, is located in Central Park. Balto was an Alaskan husky and sled dog owned by musher and breeder Leonhard Seppala.

• Alice in Wonderland Statue - A gift from philanthropist and publisher George Delacorte, this statue was intended as a gift to the children of the city and a memorial for his late wife Margarita, who loved reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to their children.

• Conservatory Water - Known as the Model Boat Pond, this ornamental pond is where children and hobbyists launch and race miniature sailboats and yachts. These are stored and rented at the nearby Kerbs Boathouse, which also houses a cafe. The pond’s edges, lined with benches, are popular for relaxing and watching boats and people. The area also features two significant statues: Alice in Wonderland and a monument to children’s book author Hans Christian Andersen. In winter, the pond is open for ice skating when it freezes completely.

• The Boathouse Outdoor Bar - Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the original two-story boathouse was built around 1874. After the wooden Victorian structure burned down, the current Boathouse was constructed in 1956. Today, visitors can enjoy meals year-round, with overhead heating extending the pleasure of dining on the deck overlooking the Lake.

• Bethesda Fountain - The central feature of the lower terrace, Bethesda Fountain, is centered by a sculpture designed by Emma Stebbins in 1868 and unveiled in 1873. Known as the Angel of the Waters, the statue references the biblical healing at the Pool of Bethesda. It was the only statue funded by the city in the park’s original design, and Stebbins was the first woman to receive a public commission for a major work of art in New York City.

• Bethesda Terrace - The Mintons encaustic tiles of the arcade ceiling were removed in the 1980s due to high restoration costs. In 1987, Mayor Ed Koch declared the tiles would be restored, and after more than 20 years in storage, a private donation allowed the Conservancy to begin restoration in 2004. The tiles, totaling 14,000, were reinstalled in 2007, with most being part of the original design.

• Bow Bridge - Designed by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould and completed in 1862, Bow Bridge was built by Janes, Kirtland & Co., the same company that constructed the U.S. Capitol Building dome. Restored in 1974, the bridge closed again in November 2023 for a two-month renovation. Featured in films like Manhattan, The Way We Were, Spiderman 3, and more.

• Strawberry Fields - A 2.5-acre landscaped section of Central Park, Strawberry Fields is dedicated to former Beatles member John Lennon. Named after the Beatles’ song “Strawberry Fields Forever,” written by Lennon.
