Come along as we explore intriguing stories, sights, and delightful foods.
Choosing where to dine in Chinatown can be a massive task, but we’re here to help! Savor three exquisite sit-down tastings: an assortment of five kinds of dim sum, authentic Peking duck cooked in traditional Beijing style, and mouthwatering Malaysian street food. The tour will also treat you to modern and traditional desserts, encapsulating two facets of this evolving neighborhood. Join our immersive journey that will leave you enriched with the tastes, history, and the confidence to explore Manhattan’s Chinatown!
We’ll be stopping by five different venues, three of which include seated indoor tastings!

Dim Sum Go Go is located at 5 E Broadway, near Chatham Square. Please wait outside the restaurant near the entrance. Your tour guide will be there to greet you 15 minutes before the tour starts.

Chinatown tour - Farshad was excellent. Great knowledge of the neighborhood, restaurants and food. He has cultivated relationships with the owners of the restaurants and shops and it showed.

Great walk around china town! Food tasting was great and enjoyed learning the history of Chinatown. I would recommend. - Enjoyed the history and tasting on this Chinatown tour. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Good tour for anyone that enjoys Chinese food.

Come for the food; enjoy great stories and company - We had a wonderful time on this tour! Farshad was delightful; he truly seemed to enjoy Chinatown and told entertaining stories. He was also very accommodating. The food was delicious! The whole family had different favorites. Mine was the roti curry and the Peking duck.

Immersive, educational and delicious! - The tour was excellent, eye-opening and a lot of fun! Through the lens of food, you'll experience the depth of culture and history in Chinatown. Unless you speak Mandarin or Cantonese, navigating this neighborhood would be very challenging, so having a tour guide was useful for us. Bert was very engaging and led us to hole-in-the-wall joints that had fresh and delicious foods ready at our arrival. It was a very smooth, well-organized and immersive experience.
I'd wouldn't recommend driving, there isn't any parking (it's New York). Also, plan on a light breakfast because the portions are considerable. The tour was 3 hours, but we spent a lot of time indoors and in the shade. I'd also recommend wearing comfortable clothes/shoes (it's New York).
I paid $84 per ticket in July of 2024; it was a fair price. I believe the price has now increased to $94, which is pushing it a little. However, I'd keep in mind the rising costs of food and that you're also paying for the tour guide who leads you to these restaurants, talks with locals, educates you, etc.

Such great food and fun paired with a cultural education. Loved it! - Eight of us in the city for a tasty tour of Chinatown and a bit of education on the area’s rich history. Farshad served up amazing food and so much fun! Every tasting was delicious, including dim sum, Peking duck, and the egg tart finale; we were well fed! I’ve been on almost all of the tours and have never been disappointed; this tour was no exception. Thank you Farshad and Foods of NY! ❤️
