Best Tour Guide Experience - This was my husband’s and kids’ first visit to NYC. My family and I had the best tour experience with Jim W. He took the time to get to know about our family and provided insights that made the tour more about information. It was invaluable having a local guide who grew up nearby and lived in the area. We learned so much about the history and architecture of NYC. We walked about 7 miles on a really warm day, but Jim made it fun with good conversation and very interesting info. There’s ample shade around the city and opportunities to rest, grab a snack, etc. My kids loved the Staten Island Ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty, and visiting One World Observatory at the end was special. Like so many others, I have a deeply personal connection to 9/11, and this was the first time I returned to NYC since after and since rebuilding started. To see what the World Trade Center rebuilding has turned into today was a very heartfelt moment. We look forward to taking more tours in other cities with Experience First, especially if they have the same qualities and guides as this one.

Fabulous and Busy Day in NYC - Our family with two kids (9 and 12) had an amazing day with our guide Jim. We covered an huge amount of NYC and it was great having a more personal and authentic experience compared to a large bus tour. It was a hot day, but Jim was very good about finding shade and stopping for water and breaks as needed. We were glad we did this tour on our first day in NYC. We feel prepared to go back and explore further in the city with great recommendations for activities/restaurants.

Excellent Tribute - INTENSE DIFFICULT EMOTIONALLY BUT WELL WORTH IT. DON'T just do the reflecting pools but the Museum. Take the time needed for this experience . You will not regret it, we can always learn and MUST never forget the cost of our freedom and liberties. A the fact that we have grown up in a culture that does NOT promote hate.
