a great overview of Revolutionary War history in NYC - Bruce was an amazing tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and his passion for history was transmitted in his delivery. He was very conscious of our comfort level on a very hot day, keeping us in the shade as much as possible. Our 10 year-old grandson enjoyed it as much as we did!

A fun and engaging experience for the whole family - Our entire family (13 yr old, 9 yr old and parents) loved this tour. Bruce is a that gem of a teacher that we all remember - someone who is not only an expert in the content, but is passionate about the topic AND highly skilled in sharing their knowledge. Bruce was able to keep everyone engaged for the whole tour with questions and commentary that only someone with his expertise and passion can offer. My daughters were delighted to enhance the basic revolutionary war knowledge they learned by watching the Hamilton musical. Bruce's telling of the Battle of Brooklyn was one my 13 yr old's favorite stories from the tour. I strongly recommend this tour not only to visitors, but to NYC residents as well. We lived in NYC for a number of years, and loved learning new things about familiar neighborhoods. If we visit NYC again we look forward to taking other tours with Bruce.

The tour was very enjoyable and interesting. Bruce was very knowledgeable and painted a picture during the walking tour of the people and events during the war. I highly recommend the tour.

He brings Washington and Hamilton to life. What an important time for us all to better know how this country was born and how close it came to being a failed dream.

Best Thing We Did on Our Trip! - I'm here to give my strongest possible recommendation for this tour. Bruce--your guide--is a super nice guy with an impressive understanding of American colonial history and a contagious enthusiasm for NYC's role in the American Revolution. The tour feels mostly like a fun conversation with a smart friend. 3 hours is not enough so I'm definitely going to book another tour with Bruce next time I'm back in the city.
