Fantastic tours with engaging tour leader! - Fantastic tour! Very interesting and well presented into, tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Started near Gracie Mansion area, the Carl Shurtz Park and view of Hell's Gate and the tip of Roosevelt Island is amazing. Recommended for adults, anyone with an interest in the history of NYC and treatment/trends and evolution of Psychiatric and mental health care throughout the last 200 years to the present day and not well known scandals, behind the scenes stories. Also recommended is the Outlaws of New York tour, very fascinating! You will love the presentation. It was entertaining and intriguing for adults with an interest in the real history of NYC.

A captivating tour with endless historical surprises - Krombie is a phenomenal storyteller, and kept us enraptured the entire time. It's quite impressive how much psychiatric history has connections to places in NYC! Also on my tour, psychiatrists attended so it's really telling that it attracted professionals in the field to learn from her

Run don’t walk to book this tour - This is a BRILLIANT tour! Very educational. Pure finder does many great tours and the owner had written a few books too on the subject she does the tours on. Super educational and informative and just a great buzz! I went solo and made good friends. Lots of couples and groups too. All round good way to spend 90-120 mins in NYC!!

Great date activity! - Krombie was such a wondeful storyteller and had myriad facts and dates and names perfectly memorized, but it never felt like we were being given a history lesson, rather we were privy to a juicy novel. My husband and I went on the Tour as a date and I would highly recommend it to everyone!!

A great success. Thanks Krombie. - Very nice walk through the upper east side. Krombie is an experienced guide who knows her subject well. A very original approach to discover the neighborhood with a new eye. The small group format is very friendly and allows for easy discussion. The tour is in English only and requires a good command of the language, I will try the other tours offered by purefinder.
