Operating Schedule: 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM: We will pick you up from your hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or the Hanoi Opera House, then depart for Ninh Binh.
10:00 AM: Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. This is an opportunity to learn about Vietnamese history during the feudal system under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.
12:00 PM: Enjoy a buffet lunch at a restaurant featuring a variety of local dishes such as goat meat and fried rice. Vegetarian options are also available.
1:30 PM: Take a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride to visit Tam Coc. During the trip, you’ll be enchanted by the picturesque scenery, including paddy fields, rivers, clouds, and a stunning cave system. This area is often referred to as “Halong Bay on land.” The tour continues with a 30-minute bike ride around the village to explore local life.
5:00 PM: Board the bus to return to Hanoi.

4. Tam Coc-Bich Dong
1:00 PM: Take a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride to visit Tam Coc. During the trip, you’ll be enchanted by the picturesque scenery, including paddy fields, rivers, clouds, and a stunning cave system. This area is often referred to as “Halong Bay on land.” The tour continues with a 45-minute bike ride around the village to explore local life.
5:00 PM: Board the bus to return to Hanoi.

Located in Ninh Binh province 100 km southeast of Hanoi, Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are two of the most picturesque spots in all of the north. For 41 years, from 968 to 1009 CE, Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam. Nearby Tam Coc is often referred to as “Ha Long among the rice paddies.” Visitors are conveyed by rowboat along the peaceful Tam Coc stream past green fields and the feet of mountains into the mouths of caves, where they encounter new surprises, like stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like gemstones just inches from the water.
