- Nizwa Fort Oman - Adjacent to the Souq (OLD MARKET) lies the Nizwa Fort and castle. The Fort was constructed in 1649, while the Castle dates back to 888. Today, the Fort serves as a museum, offering magnificent views of the ancient town and surrounding mountains. Visitors can explore the impressive Fort and Castle, which feature numerous passages and rooms. The Fort stands as an architectural testament to the economic and military prowess of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century. It was a military stronghold designed to endure even the most formidable attacks of its time, with traps laid along the corridors to thwart any intruders who breached the defenses.
- Nizwa Souk - Nizwa, once the capital of Oman during the Al Yaruba Dynasty, is home to the renowned Nizwa Old Market (Souq). A diverse array of vendors sell their goods in the souk’s streets, offering vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts, Omani sweets (halwa), dates, spices, and souvenirs in authentic old market halls that few places can rival. The Friday cattle market is particularly fascinating, as locals gather to sell goats, cattle, sheep, and chickens in a lively, open marketplace.

- Jabal Shams - Visit Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in Oman, and embark on adventures such as hiking or mountain climbing. The W6 Balcony Walk Hike (Grand Canyon) is a notable activity.
- Bahla’ - After returning from Jabal Shams, we head to Bahla to explore the old souq and visit Bahla Fort, one of the oldest and largest forts in Oman. It is the only fort in the country listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the oldest sections dating back to around 500 BC.
