- Mad Goats, Akerselva - You will meet us at Nedre Foss Park where we will have the packrafts and equipment ready for you. We also have a vehicle where you can store all your belongings which will be at the end of the tour waiting for you. Our guides will give you a short briefing with all relevant info about the trip followed by a quick paddling lesson so you can control the packraft. From here we walk down to the water, only 100m. Once on the water we start by paddling through the historic and colourful district of Grunerlokka. Grunerlokka is known for its beautiful bridges and professional street art. There are several small streams we will paddle down and eddies where will briefly pause to tell you about the Akerselva’s rich history. Next up is the central district of Gronland just before we arrive at the famous 500m tunnel which runs underneath the Oslo Central Station - yes, we are paddling through it! After coming back into the light we enter the modern waterside area of Bjorvika, home to the iconic Munch Museum and Oslo Opera House. If we still have time we will paddle out onto the fjord so we can view the city from the fjord, otherwise we jump out the river mouth in a place called Sukkerbiten.

If you are looking for an active way to explore Oslo, combining urban sightseeing and nature, then our pack-rafting tour on Akerselva is a great option for you. Our packraft tour is suitable for total beginners of all ages and fitness levels. If your child is under 10 years old then they must accompany an adult in one packraft. Youth 10 years and above can go in their own packraft. This still depends on whether they are comfortable going alone or not. If not then youth 10 -12 years can go in a packraft with their caregiver. Packrafting has become popular lately due to being very stable and easy to control, making outdoor adventures on the water accessible to everyone!
