Great view, wonderful breeze - Very tight squeeze, and only room for one to go up and down the steps at a time, so recommend going during non-peak times, but other than that, great view at the top with a wonderful breeze.

Great views of island - We arrived in Aruba on Friday afternoon. After getting settled we drove to lighthouse and paid the $5 fee. We embarked up the tight spiral staircase with ability to touch both sides of staircase. There are landings about every 19 steps. Folks are great about saying “coming up/down”…so courteous to pass. Landing have windows for welcome ventilation. The last grouping of steps is quite narrow but doable (definitely come down facing steps on the way down!) Phenomenal 360 view at top. Was a great welcome to “one happy island” Everyone respectful, patient and helpful!

Panoramic views of Aruba - We stopped at California Lighthouse one fine afternoon on our driving tour of Aruba.  The beautiful lighthouse is located in the north of the island near Arashi Beach.  The drive itself was beautiful going through the resort and the beach area of the island.  We climbed to the top of the lighthouse after paying the fees.  It was a tough narrow climb, but we got awesome panoramic views of the island from the top.  Also, there is a nice placard explaining the history of the lighthouse.  A nice trail leads from the lighthouse area to the nearby Arashi Beach.  The lighthouse is an enjoyable stop while visiting this northern section of the island.

Awesome Views - It was an easy climb up the steps and the views were amazing. You can even pay for a drone to take pictures and a video of you for an extra fee.

Great view - For panoramic view of the entire island. They are closed when we got there for a private event. The view from the mountain is still splendid.

California Lighthouse - The lighthouse is located northwest of Aruba, surrounded by rugged but spectacular beaches for taking beautiful photographs. You can climb the lighthouse no more than 30 meters and it is nothing more than that. It's nice to take photos of couples, newlyweds or just enjoy the wind on your face.

California Lighthouse seen from most of Aruba - Visited on our last day. Couldn't go up as the attendant was not there. :-( Easily accessible location.

Disappointed! - The lighthouse was closed. We purchased our ticket for the day we planned to go and literally drove to the location 3 times. We received no notification and no refund. Very disappointing.

Don’t waste your time - Don’t bother wasting your time. We use Viator ALL OF THE TIME and this is our first negative review. We had to call Viator in advance and buy tickets, there was no other option. Operating hours start at 9am, we arrived at 9am. An adjacent vendor told us the tour operator called him and was going to the bank and would be a few minutes late. She finally arrived at 10:40am. So, after being an hr and 40 minutes late, and a dozen of us in line, she comes be-bopping in, no apologies, no explanation, just starts collecting tickets and cash. She looked like she just rolled out of bed, and forgot to put most of her clothes on. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL!!
