Rinjani Summit - What an adventure. Very well organised by Rinjani Trek Adventure from briefing, transport, food, camping equipment, guides and porters. Overall it was a very challenging 2 days but an experience I will never forget. Big thanks to Rinjani Trek Adventure. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone looking to climb Senura Crater or Mt. Rinjani. Also to stay at the Senura Garden Homestay.

Amazing experience and the best operator! - We did the 2D1N hike to the crater rim and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is stunning but if you don’t have the right team you won’t enjoy the experience at his best. Adi is a very friendly business owner, he runs the Rinjani Trek Adventures and arranged a very experienced team of 2 porters and one guide for me and my girlfriend. Adi’s brother runs an homestay in Senaru, we stayed there so we got to enjoy the whole family experience (delicious local food, good chats and waterfalls tour). Moreover, Adi arranged all the transfers for us so I recommend to use their services as a one stop shop and bundle the whole experience. We had an excellent experience with Yot, our young and wise tour guide. His English was very good and he made the experience a whole different level where we connected to each other telling our life stories, learning while we were hiking about our cultures, so different but somehow similar. Yot helped my girlfriend during the challenging parts and motivated us to track on schedule to enjoy the best experience. In fact, Egian and Andre which are Yot’s elders brothers were our porter. They carried all the way 20kg of supply and camping gear for us, cooking unbelievable meals (always different and aligned with sunset/sunrise). They set up the tent is a strategic spot, sheltered but with a beautiWe can only be grateful to have shared this experience with such a beautiful and skilful operators. We highly recommend them.

Great Tour with a great agency! - The agency is very well organized, spontanous and fullfilled all our wishes. Our guide Sinar, the porters and the tour manager always wanted to make us happy. Hence, we were always Kind of privileged To other people with other guides. We did a Private Tour with our great guide Sinar and two porters who made great food for us. Instead of sleeping on the crater rim we slept in the Camp below. Hence, we didnt have To share the space with hundreds of other tourists and had our own Camp for ourselfs and were able to enjoy a bonfire under a beautyful sky full of Stars. When we arrived on the summit Sinar (guide) had a sleeping bag for us so we didnt Freeze too much. Sinar Was super Handsome and wanted to fullfill us every wish, which he accomplished 100%. Thank you for that! We actually called Sinar the "machine" because He is unbelievably fit on the mountain! Thank you for the great tour, although it is not cheapest. But this is just the market price you have to pay...so we absolutely recommend the Tour with this agency and Sinar as a guide!

Exhausting but worth it! - I did the 2D1N tour and I liked it very much. For me, the first hike to the base camp was quite easy because I am an experienced hiker. The second hike from the camp to the summit was the difficult part because the terrain becomes very challenging. But with the right attitude, you can definitely make it in time for sunrise. And at the summit, the most beautiful sunrise and the best view awaits you as there are no clouds or mountains in the way. Sinar, my guide, was helpful, very nice and always had motivating words ready. When I had a blister on the way down, he offered me plasters and sandals. He also had snacks, water and instant noodles for the break at base camp. The boss of the company was also very friendly, he explained the whole tour to me at the beginning. He also organised a taxi to pick me up from Kuta and bring me back after the hike. All in all, definitely worth it!

Fantistic - I had an amazing time climbing wth this company! The route to the summit was still closed after the earthquake (as of Nov 2019) and so I went to the crater rim and back. Everyone in charge was friendly, helpful and supportive. Our guide, Wahyu, was brilliant and our porters carrying our tents etc. had superhuman strength, but also absolutely brilliant cooks - the food was a real highlight! The accomodation was fairly basic the night before, but I mean you've signed up to a camping trip so don't expect luxury! It is clean and comfy and does the job. And at the top, undoubtedly the best view I've ever seen!

Great experience! - this was my first time climbing a mountain! i made it all the way in sneakers but not without help and it was not easy! the last part is both slippery and steep and at that point you are already kind of sweaty and exhausted from the 5 hours hot jungle climbing! it is steep and the direction is up - all the way... you are not hiking sideways along the mountain in flat paths you are only heading up! the food was maybe some of the best indonesian food we have had so far, and there is plenty of it! you won’t starve... i was wearing sneakers which was ok for the way up but going down it was not my best choice of shoes... it is dry and slippery so you keep sliding down if you don’t have the right shoes! i got very nervous going down since i didn’t feel like i was in control of the ground, but our guide Wahyu was just absolutely amazing... he help me down from that mountain, held my hand, guided me on the best way to go down the path and was very supportive all the way - i really felt safe all the way... the porters are amazing as well, they carry a lot of stuff (30 kg on a bamboo stick) in flip flops!!!! for this trip i would recommend: - proper shoes - don’t luxury this - it is a mountain you can sit on the ground and eat your food if you can climb a mountain, you don’t need a freaking table which the porters btw also will have to carry - say yes to the walking sticks - no matter how good you think you are... - bring warm clothes to the top, it is freezing cold up there... - feel safe with the guide Wahyu (hyu!) he is a lifesaver for sure... appreciate the porters, they do a quite amazing job... - apply for a group - it is cosy and nice to share your experience with others (i travelled with my friend from copenhagen, and we applied for a group trek) Thank you so much for this amazing experience! i will recommend you for everyone curious or asking !

Fantastic trek to the crater rim - My friend and I decided to do the 2 day / 1 night trek from Senaru with RTA and loved it! We booked very last minute, where we called in the morning fra Kuta Lombok - 50 min later we were picked up at our bungalows. We picked up Tom(English guy we did not know) from the airport and drowe to Sanaru. We were there at 15ish, so we're offered a tour to a few waterfalls (75.000 ruoia per person) - great small Pre tour. We found some dinner up the road and went to bed early. We got up at 7.00, had some pancakes before heading up to the starting point. The walk to the crater rim was challenging, as we were both first time climbers, but in fairly moderate shape (we are from Copenhagen, so we bike every day and walk a lot). The start, before entering the mountain was rather tough in the sun and the last part from position 3 and 4 to the top were the hardest. This part is mostly gravel and rocks, so good idea to wear proper shoes (we made it in sneakers) - and say yes to the walking stick, that was a huge help! The middle part was also rather tough, but in the forrest / jungle, so nice and shaded. We had the most amazing guide - wahyu (hyu)! He was super helpful all the way, played music and kept the spirit up. My friend needed extra help, so Hyu was there for her all the way, and held her hand to keep her stable - especially while going down. The porters are carrying everything and cooking for us along the way - each carried 30 kg on a bamboo stick to the top, only wearing flip-flops 😲 The food was absolutely fantastic all the way! Bring warm clothes to the top as it is only about 10 degrees. You will sleep in tents, and we had a lot of wind, which kept us up for mist of the night. The view was absolutely amazing, especially the sunset. Eating deep fried bananas with chocolate sauce with that vies was just epic. Don't expect luxury, you are climbing a mountain! The home stay is very basic, but does the job before departure. I can really recommend RTA and Wahyu!

Not an experience i would recommend - Not an experience i would recommend. We paid a premium of about 350k IDR based on TripAdvisor reviews. The homestay we were staying at had no hot water firstly. They charged us 25k per kilo for laundry which is pretty much the most I've ever paid anywhere in Bali or Lombok. The hike up was tough but our guide was there helping us throughout which was the good part. Once we reached the top, they realised that one of the porters hadn't reached so our food was delayed. Half of the tents weren't closing. In the morning, we woke up to find out hiking sticks missing. The guide and another hiker had taken them to go to the summit and we were super worried how we would go down the mountain slope without them. Finally the guide came back with one and gave us another one, which was flimsy and broke pretty soon. There was no one with us on the climb down and it was a tough climb down with a broken walking stick. They ran out of water halfway down as well. By the time we reached the bottom, one of the hikers hadn't come so we all had to wait an hour. Then the cab guy that dropped us to senggigi kept stopping multiple times on the way to drop off some shoes or pay someone. We were supposed to reach by 6 Max but ended up reaching by 7:30 and i had to take a work call on the road with patchy network. Just super disorganised and not worth the premium.
