Fun evening experience cooking authentic food! - Wonderful experience. Great time cooking, tasty food and gracious hosts. Our kids enjoyed the experience. Fun meeting other travelers too.

Great (and delicious) Costa Rican experience!! - What a great time! Wife and I are amateur 'foodies' so we are always looking for cooking classes/food tours when we travel. Luckily we found this one! Warner was our chef and he was great. Very knowledgable about the local culture and food of Costa Rica. We were a bit late so the vegetable chopping was already underway. We shared the class with two young ladies from Australia (who weren't completely enamored with the pigs and goats that wandered in on occasion!) Warner had us chopping veggies, shredding chicken and, the most fun was making empanadas. Then he started cooking over the wood fire and and magically this gorgeous meal came together. Veggie ceviche, and three types of empanadas (chicken/bean/veggie) made with our own hands. Everything was delicious. And the fresh coffee at the end: to die for! Best cup of coffee I've ever had. Thanks Warner! If you have time, don't miss this experience. You won't regret it!

Venture out of Guiones - This class was fantastic! Werner, the instructor, was excellent. A must do if you are staying in Guiones. It was a great contrast from Guiones - a truly local experience, and the food was fantastic to boot.

Great cooking class! - I brought my group to Nosara, Costa Rica for a 7-night yoga retreat. This cooking class was one of the add-on options available from the retreat center. We had a fabulous time! We got to chop and prepare our meal of chicken and bean/veggie empanadas, chicken and rice, vegetable ceviche and chips made from plantain and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious and we all had a fabulous and intimate experience on the host's farm. Don't hesitate to do this tour! The host gave us so much information and tidbits of knowledge. He also made us some amazing Costa Rican coffee and pineapple juice to enjoy with our meal. Yummy!

Wonderful authentic cooking instruction - Wonderful cooking class! Beautiful surrounding, great food and easy to understand instruction. The empanadas were delicious! Highly recommend.

Great activity for a... - Great activity for a family. We made ceviche and chicken empanadas. Everyone had a great time. Steve gave us a great tour of the property. Highly recommend!!
