- Viaduct Harbour - Join us at the “Big White Boat” in Viaduct Harbour to begin this incredible all-inclusive tour.
Viaduct Harbour, once known as Viaduct Basin, is a former commercial port on Auckland’s waterfront that has been transformed into a development featuring upscale apartments, office spaces, and restaurants. It gained significant popularity during the 2000 America’s Cup hosted by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and the 2022 Rally New Zealand. The area is a hub for locals and tourists alike, hosting round-the-world yacht races, an annual boat show, and numerous other events.
We’ll start with a takeaway coffee or tea before embarking on a brief tour of the area, highlighting the best spots for photos!
- Albert Park - From the Viaduct, we’ll pass the container terminal and the waterfront near the historic “Custom House,” then head to City Central before arriving at Albert Park. This beautiful location offers stunning city views and a chance to enjoy nature. We’ll also stop at several historic university buildings along the way.
- Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki - Enjoy a quick photo opportunity and tour of Auckland’s primary art gallery, located near Albert Park. Admission is included.
After the gallery, we’ll visit one of our favorite eateries for a fantastic lunch, with the first drink on us!
- Auckland Museum - We’ll drive to our next destination, the Auckland Museum, passing key sites like K-Rd, Grafton Bridge, and other hidden gems known only to locals.
The Auckland Museum is set in beautiful park grounds with lush grass, trees, and various waterfowl. We’ll take a peaceful nature walk through ferneries, ponds, and enclosed gardens filled with stunning flowers and plants.
Next, we’ll have a brief visit to the museum itself, but you can always return later. Time is limited, so we’ll move on to the next stop!

Parnell - Our next destination is Parnell Village, a lively area with numerous shops, restaurants, bars, and parks. You might want to do some shopping or try some handmade chocolates (Bill Clinton sampled them during a visit!). Parnell has a charming village vibe that you’ll love.

Mount Eden - Our second-to-last stop is Mt Eden, offering fantastic views of Auckland. Mt Eden is one of many inactive volcanoes in the area, now thankfully dormant. There are many such volcanoes around greater Auckland, but too many to visit in one day!

Westhaven Promenade - If time permits, before returning to Viaduct Harbour, we’ll drive to Westhaven Marina, where many of Auckland’s seafaring residents dock their boats. You’ll also get a close-up view of our harbour bridge. We might even drive over the bridge and back, giving you the chance to capture some amazing city photos from high above!
