- Rakanui Road - The EcoZip experience is a little different to other ziplines! Twin lines, running side-by-side, means you can share this exhilarating experience with a friend!
Your 3.5-hour experience will begin from our homebase in central Kaikōura. One of our legendary crew will take you on a 15-minute scenic shuttle ride to our “gear up” and staging location. Here you’ll be transferred to a custom-built Unimog 4X4 that will carry you through the intertwined streams of the Kahutara River, then onto Rakanui Station - a 3,000-acre working farm.
You’ll fly high above the rolling valleys covered in native-trees, and lush farmland, soaking up the incredible 360 degree views to Kaikōura and beyond.

A half-day adventure in nature awaits you in Kaikōura, featuring five zipline flights spanning a total of 2.2km over lush rolling farmland and native forest. You’ll also enjoy an interpretive walk through a private 3,000-acre station and a ride on a custom-built 4X4 Unimog. Starting from central Kaikōura township, your journey begins with a scenic drive, offering stunning views of the Seaward Range and South Bay. This is an eco-adventure you won’t want to miss!

Absolute blast!! - Wow what a cool experience! Me and my 2 sisters absolutely loved EcoZip in Kaikōura. Easy check in at the office, courtesy van out of town, then a fun Unimog ride up the hill to the zip lines. We were so lucky with the weather and it was amazing views out from x5 epic zip lines. Our guides Kerry and Charlotte were fun, easy going, really interesting and passionate about the environment and wildlife in the area too. Big thumbs up for you ladies!! We felt safe the entire time and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kaikōura ❤️

Adrenaline rush in my beautiful homeland ..so proud to be a Kiwi...New Zealander - What can I say? Almost felt I'd had my money's worth just being on the unimog.. this adventure was so awesome from checking in with the fab staff in the office,right to Tim driving unimog... even stopping for a falcon, and having Andy and Nico give us the incredibly knowledgeable info on flora, fauna and the history of the building of this amazing course... so much hard work has gone into making this adventure so rewarding.. I'm still on an adrenaline high.
The patience, passion and fun mixed with serious care given to us was tops :)
Thank you so much for making my 75th birthday gift from my son and family something I will never forget.. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Nervous but I made it to the end. - Fantastic experience. Although I don't plan to take up ziplining as a hobby I was pleased with the fact I did it. The trip was organized very well and ran to time. The guides were awesome and very encouraging. They also focused on their jobs, and you could tell were very well trained in their roles. I didn't really take in the view while ziplining as I was too nervous, but I did enjoy the view at each station, and I enjoyed the little walks in-between.

Fantastic work team-building day! - We recently did the Ecozip Kaikoura experience as a team-building activity for our team at work. It was an outstanding experience and the team were just buzzing about it. The Ecozip team made it very easy and the whole experience lived up to our expectations. I’d thoroughly recommend it as a brilliant day out.

Beautiful views and loads of fun - We had an amazing experience ziplining today! The weather didn’t seem too well in the morning, luckily we were still able to go ziplining.
With our sweet guides Izzy and Apii we felt safe and informed the whole time.
Furthermore, we had a VIP experience since we were the only two people in the group.

From the start to the finish - this is an adrenaline packed adventure. - Stunning well organised time out in the Kaikoura bush hanging and zipping around on 5 zip wires which gives you an unique view of this fabulous country side - with the drive up the hills in the Unimog is just the start or a great day - one not to miss.
