Snowshoeing Day 1
Turangi Information Centre - We will meet you at either Taupo or Turangi Customer and Information Centre. Here we will do introductions and gear check to make sure everyone has the adequate supplies for the journey ahead.
Tongariro National Park - Drive through the scenic winter wonderland that is Tongariro National Park to arrive at our track start.
Tongariro National Park - Embark on an unforgettable 3 hour snowshoeing adventure to Waihohonu Hut, nestled in the pristine beauty of Tongariro National Park. Led by expert guides, this immersive experience offers the perfect winter escape, combining thrilling outdoor exploration.
Waihohonu Hut - As the sun sets enjoy a meal in the cozy Waihohonu Hut nestled away in Tongariro National Park.
Waihohonu Hut - Witness the dark sky illuminated by the stars of the night sky. Tongariro is situated in area with no light pollution making for amazing stargazing. With Social Nature Movements specialized stargazing equipment we will view and learn about the stars.
Snowshoeing Day 2
Waihohonu Hut - Wake up surrounded by snow capped mountains, eat a nutritious breakfast and get ready for a day of exnihilating snowshoeing adventures.
Tongariro National Park - We will take our time taking in the beautiful scenery around us as we snowshoe our way back towards the vehicle. Along the way learn all about the rich history of Tongariro National Park.
Turangi Information Centre - Once we reach our vehicle after an unforgettable journey we will make our way back towards our trip start point where we will have our final farewells. After departure, we will sit back and reflect on the incredible journey we have just experienced.
