- 130 Kailua Rd - Our lessons begin with paddling instruction and a short introductory class at our Beach Center. Then, you’ll proceed to Kailua Beach Park where the instructor will assist you in launching your board and standing up. Paddle boarders will head towards Popo’ia “Flat Island” and usually stop here for a break and island tour. Guides offer snacks and water and help take photos during your SUP lesson.

This time-honored aqua activity has resurged with the assistance of modern board design, improving the ease and performance of the ride. Stand up paddling brings together the excitement of surfing and the mechanisms of paddling, resulting in a perfect combination. Kailua offers an array of waters, from placid cruising water to slight waves and rolling swells. Generally, training sticks to the calmest areas for the practice of basic strokes and techniques.

Great SUP lesson! - Had a great time during this lesson. My friend and I had never done SUP before, so we got some instruction before heading out, and then our instructor took us onto a calm stream before we headed out into the ocean. Overall, an outstanding experience. Highly recommend!

It was an extraordinary experience! - It was my first time doing SUP, but the instructor, Tomo, was very friendly and gave me great instruction. He also showed me around the deserted island and took lots of photos, so it was a very fulfilling lesson!
I don't usually get to go into the ocean, so it was a great experience to experience something out of the ordinary!
It's the best memory of my trip to Hawaii!

It was so much fun! - It was my first time doing SUP so I was a little nervous, but Tomo, who was in charge, taught me carefully and took photos for me, and it became a very fond memory!
I was also lucky enough to be able to participate with just my sister who went with me, so I was able to experience riding the waves on a SUP!
I'm grateful to Tomo for giving me this valuable experience ^_^

Best Day Ever - This place is so gorgeous. Even the drive from Waikiki was incredible. The tour company is extremely organized and professional and nice. My guide was personable and knowledgeable. I am 57 and overweight and I was still able to do it.

It was great! I definitely want to go again. - We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon.
I had always wanted to try SUP, so I chose it, and it was the most fun thing I did during my trip to Hawaii!
The activity was fun, of course, but our instructor, Tomo, was great at teaching, and he was really funny and fun! Even beginners can enjoy it with peace of mind!
After SUP, we were given snorkeling equipment and went to Lanikai Beach to snorkel. ✨
I had other plans so I went in the afternoon, but I wish I had gone in the morning and spent the whole day there. I definitely recommend going. 👍

I found the best guide! - Our guide, Tomo, was the best. He called out to us appropriately, took good care of our children, and I was very happy to see their smiles. Thanks to Tomo, our whole family was able to have a great time. He taught us a lot about the good points of SUP, and I would like to ask for his help again next year.

A Truly Wonderful Experience! - What a wonderful time we had doing our SUP lesson.
All of the staff at Kailua Beach Adventures is very friendly, professional and just plain fun! The reservation process was easy and efficient as well as the check-in.
We had the most amazing guide/teacher/sherpa, in Riki I.
A BIGG SHOUT OUT TO RIKI!!! He's a real treasure because of his innate kindness and curiousity. He was very patient in teaching us the moves on the board, and just full of energy! On Flat Island, he regaled us with local stories, pointed out wildlife and was just an all around great guy!
Definitely come to Kailua Beach and try this out. It's so worth it!

Wonderful SUP lesson - Japanese lady Mieko was my SUP instructor. That was my first SUP experience. Thanks to Mieko, I had a great experience through canal, ocean and then landed flat island!!!

Our first SUP lesson was wonderful - Tommy, our instructor, was great, he gave good and clear instructions. He is strong to pull me up the board when I fell. The store has everything you need in case you miss. Locker for your belongings, although it only has outdoor shower to raise out the sand and use toilet inside the plaza. The lesson includes lunch voucher and discount for purchase in the store. The sandwich in market was good. The day was perfect for SUP, not wavy. I recommend this place. They offer other lessons too.
