Hawaiian village - Second time to the Hawaiian village Luau in 1977. Still awesome and the guest attending were so nice. The show was exciting and entertaining. Food was great... drinks were so so.

Fun & Entertaining - Lovely evening, photo opportunity that was given was very rushed & I felt the photographer didn’t wait until we were in position before taking it. On first glance the photo looked blurred. Wasn’t impressed. The entertainment, However, was sensational, including the hula dance lesson which was fun. Food was good, the bbq brisket was Mmmmm, found the pork a bit dry but overall the evening was fantastic & would definitely recommend it.

Good time had by all! - Overall, the experience was very entertaining. The food was decent for a buffet, and the show was fantastic. You can tell the performers put a lot of work into it. The only negative of the experience was that the show was on a rooftop, with the only views being the surrounding buildings. You kind of miss that "Hawaiian vibe". Being on/close to the beach for a sunset view would have been more fun. I am glad that we did not pay extra for the premier seating, for every seat had an excellent view of the show, and the lines to get in went really fast.

Ugly location - The location on a parking garage was not ideal. They have a grassy area by the lagoon where you can see the water, palm trees, setting sun that is ideal for a luau but they seem to use it only for private corporate ones. The dancers were good but the best part, the fire dancers, was pretty short. The food was ok, some of the meat was a bit cold. They take one photo and then try to sell it to you for $60 but they do give you the opportunity to take photos with a couple of the dancers afterwards which was nice. There was a little bit of education about Hawaiian/ Polynesian history but much less than other luaus I’ve been to. Next time we’ll try the one at the Polynesian Cultural Center but that one sold out prior to our arrival.

Waikiki starlight luau - Show was very good. Excellent dancers. Fire performers were great! Buffet was ok. Fish was cold and dried out. Salmon salad had a funny taste. A lot of different salads. Shrimp noodles were good but not exceptional. Meats were fish, roasted pig, chicken and brisket. Brisket and pork good, chicken ordinary. This was a lot of money to get the same foods I can get at home. So I chalked it up to paying for an ordinary meal and a good show. Instructions to get to luau were not clear and several other people were wondering around trying to find it also. People going to other luaus at different places made same comment “it was ok”. Pretty disappointing.

Low quality Luau - This is not worth $190 what so ever. The Food was NORMAL, the salmon salad barely had any salmon in it, macaroni salad drenched in mayonnaise, minimal desserts. It’s also first come first serve, you can’t even be classy & reserve a seat & they tell you to be there early but even after waiting over an hour until they opened the doors my feet were in excruciating pain. If you want to pay $190 for foot pain & low quality high school food, be my guest. You’re better off finding better luaus in other places. And they said they give u a lei it’s not even a fresh flower lei it’s a rock lei. for $190 we deserve a fresh flower lei.

Viator Booking Ripped us Off - There needs to be a way to contact Viator. Regarding Confirmation number: 1528681845, Booking reference number: 1143367063, It turns out this whole event has been very eventful for us. When we originally went to book, we were on the Waikola Hilton website, and then trip advisor took over and sent us to the Hilton Hawaiian Village website. By the time we realized that our luau was booked in Oahu, while we were on the Big Island, it was less than 24 hours until show time. We did talk to the Hilton on Oahu, and they were willing to reschedule to Friday. Unfortunately, two of our party are returning home today. So, we are currently out the $370 that we spent for those tickets. If you could provide us a refund to our credit card, it would be very much appreciated.
