A terrific day - Antonio was a wonderful guide, patient, attentive and kind. He covered for Spanish and English speakers but was easy to follow. We thought the itinerary would be a grueling long day, but Antonio managed to keep a relaxed pace and it was all so enjoyable.

Safety pin! - A great itinerary that allows you to learn first-hand about the culture and traditions of Oaxaca. In a small group the guides explained to us everything we needed to know.

Great tour, be prepared for a full day of fun and information. - This trip was great. There was enough time at each location to take pictures and enjoy the view and take in the information about each place. The driver was great and very friendly, he had a great Playlist too and I felt safe and enjoyed the drive. Just something small to note is that they went to a different Mezcal place (Rey de Matatlan) but the English guide at that place was great and took his time to answer all of our questions. Also, if you decide to go for a different pick up you might have to wait for a bit as they make their way to picking up everyone. For water boils (hierve el agua), just make sure to wear shoes with enough traction as it can be very slippery even in dry areas! If you are not in good physical condition, I'd suggest you do the smaller hike instead of going all the way down/ up, it's quite a challenging hike if you're not used to lots of stairs and uneven ground. Overall I'd recommend this tour!

Amazing Mezcal Experience! - The wild agave boutique distillery really Opened my eyes (and nose and taste) to the nuance of quality mezcal. We bought 2 limited wild bottles and have been enjoying them for tastings very slowly!

What better way to experience this magical land - My friend and I just completed 6 consecutive days of tours with Mexplorer this past weekend. We were blessed to have Balam, Daniel, and Alfredo as our tour guides for this trip. Our guides made sure we understood and experienced the greatness that Oaxaca has to offer. I was able to eat amazing food, have spectacular views from the Sierras, and learn about the history of the Zapotec way of life. We visited museums, archeological sites, and learned the craft that many people still to this day practice from their ancestors. I am glad we get the opportunity to experience these traditional methods still being used.

Highly recommended way to learn about pre Hispanic history in Oaxaca - What a great way to spend a day in Oaxaca. I learned so much about this unique area of Mexico and the many native peoples here. We visited Hierve El Aqua, a traditional weaving business, a mezcaleria, El Tule, a traditional Oaxacan buffet for lunch, and the the Mitla ruins. Great way to add some history and culture to a trip and support local communities.

More than Mezcal - We thought this would be an in-depth mezcal experience and were surprised when the mezcaleria portion was only a small part. Still, it was an enriching and education experience. We visited many places (Hierve del agua, zapotec ruins, El Tule tree, etc). The tour guides were fantastic.

Nice tour but overpriced - The tour was well organized. The time is hierve del agua was maybe too short (1.5 h), but enough to do the 'long' path and see both the waterfalls. Mitla was a bit rushed, and our guide didn't do a great job of explaining well its history (it was a bit rushed). Mezcal and textile factories were interesting, but of course it's an excuse to sell you expensive products. We enjoyed those visits anyways. Tula was a bit rushed (15 minutes only). Overall it was a good day where we could see most of the valley around Oaxaca. The reason for the 3 stars is that I found the tour overpriced, compared to what was offered in the streets of Oaxaca. We paid 67 euros (buffet lunch included, entrances of things included), in the main touristic areas this same tour is offered for 300 pesos (around 15 euros), lunch and entrances excluded. Even adding the price of lunch (150 pesos) and entrances to attractions (in total less than 200 pesos probably), we still paid double than the price other people in the same tour paid. Advice: book directly in Oaxaca center, in the main pedestrian street.
