It is famous thanks to the quality and beauty of its wool textile products: rugs, jackets, bags, sarapes, tapestries, “corridors”, carpeting, curtains and dresses, made on large wooden looms and decorated with natural dyes, whose designs go from the traditional Zapotec and Mixtec frets and griffins, to reproductions of contemporary painters.
The elaboration of its textile is 100% handmade from the washing of the wool obtained from the sheep in the river, the carding of the wool, the elaboration of the thread through the spinning wheel, the use of natural dyes based on insects and variety of plants, until completion on their pedal looms.

Great Memories! - Our group of 9 had the best time! Our tour guide, Irvin, was excellent. We saw Monte Alban, Hierve del Agua, and did the Mezcal tasting. We had all ages in our group, and everybody loved it. Our ten year old is still amazed at everything he saw. The additional recommendations that our guide gave us for other sites to check out were very helpful. Thank you so much Irvin!

A long, full day of the highlights surrounding Oaxaca City - This was a very full day! We started off visiting Monte Alban, getting there before the crowds picked up & it got too hot. We had about 1.5 hours there. Then were driven to Teotitlán to hear about the process of creating natural textiles - from spinning the fibers to how the different color dyes are created. After this we drove to lunch at a large buffet place before heading to Hierve de aqua. We had about an hour here (which was a bit too short to do the hike to the bottom & soak in the pools). The last stop was to learn about the process of making artesian mezcal & tasting it. Our driver Irvin was fantastic! Very friendly, accommodating, & knowledgeable!

A must do day in Oaxaca - We had an excellent time on this tour. It highlights the best of Oaxaca in one day. Our driver was exceptionally nice and safe, and he had a new and very comfortable car. He also recommended a lot of other sights to see on our own. Each stop had a very personalized tour for just the two of us. I highly recommend this tour. It was a long day, but every aspect was wonderful.
