Additional Information

Ojai boasts a ceramics legacy that spans a century. Nestled amongst a fruit grove, our workshop is situated one mile from the city’s heart and set against a scenic natural backdrop.

As an operational workspace catering to numerous acclaimed artists from Ojai Valley, our studio welcomes visitors intrigued by the craft. First time pottery throwers - First time experience throwing pottery. We were given five balls of clay and we tried to make a bowl each time but even with the help of our three instructors turns out as a first time potter making a bowl is more difficult than it looks.. Hilarity followed as clay spun out of control, but did end up with 2 cups.

best pottery class hands down - What an amazing place this is, my wife and I took a beginners pottery class and WOW we had the best time and we were so thankful for our teacher and how professional she was and easy to follow. when we finished left our work there and they fired them, glazed them and shipped them to us all at a very reasonable price. we'll be coming back again and again for sure....

Weekend Getaway - I shared a weekend away with my three daughters and this was one of the surprises I’d planned. The girls were excited when we showed up for the class. We had a great time, learned a lot, and can’t wait to pick up our finished pieces. We also gained a new appreciation for pottery and the artists who create it. Thanks for some great memories!

Unique creative experience - There were only two of us in the class so it was much more hands on and detailed than it would be in a full class. The instructor was patient and professional.

Great first time pottery experience! - I had an amazing first time pottery experience and was so happy I got to make some pieces myself! The instructors helped us center the clay, shape the pieces, and remove it from the wheel with as much or as little help as we wanted. The pieces were ready to be glazed a few weeks after the first visit, and ready to be picked up a few days after that. There was a $15 fee for each finished piece. We went back in person to glaze ourselves but they can also glaze it for you if you are not local. It was so fun and I definitely want to do more pottery throwing now :)
