Highlights
  • Cades Bay - Home of the Black Pineapple, the sweetest pineapple in the world
It was not until the late 1960s that the Ministry of Agriculture diversified the operations from small farms to a government-owned Agricultural Station. In 1983, a production and management plan was formulated. It was during this period that Cades Bay was at its peak, with 20 acres of crop under production. Our
    Antiguan Black Pineapples
can be taken with you at the end of your holidays.
  • Fig Tree Drive - Fig Tree drive is the best drive in Antigua! Fig is basically the Antiguan name for bananas, but the road is lined with lots of tropical fruit trees such as guavas, mangoes, oranges, and coconuts. Fig Tree Drive in Antigua is the major road opposite the pink coral Catholic Church just outside the town of Liberta, north of Falmouth.

Vacation adventure - The kayaking was beautiful and relaxing. The reef snorkeling was a first for us but we tried and the tour guide Andrew was patient. The boat driver was awesome super funny and kind. Thank you guys for making our trip an enjoyable one.

Great experience! Highly recommended! - Excellent experience, much recommended! The SoHoCo team picks you up from your hotel (and returns you back to it); everyone is friendly and explains a lot of interesting facts. The experience itself is awesome - first you kayak through a mangrove forest and then they take you snorkelling over a massive coral reef. Also, their rum punch is awesome! Shout out to Andrew for the great time!

Great excursion for Cruise Passengers - From start to finish we had a great time. We were in Antigua for 1 day as cruise passengers. We booked the trip on our own instead of through the cruise ship , as we feel it is a better value that way. Our driver Andrew picked us up at the cruise terminal and even though we were his only 2 passengers, provided us with a great tour of the island on the way to the kayaking location. Instead of a rehearsed monologue about the island he let us ask him anything we wanted about Antigua and he answered it. He provided us a plate of fresh black pineapple so we could sample the Antiguan delight during our ride. Once we arrived at the kayaking facility Kevon, our guide provided us the equipment and instructions while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. We merged with a few small groups and our tour group was approximately 10-12 people which allowed for personal interactions with the tour guide and a pleasant socializing experience. We were launched in 2 person kayaks and navigated through the mangroves to the beach area. At the beach area our snorkel boat arrived and we were introduced to our boat Captain Jensen. Jensen was very knowledgeable, funny and made sure we all were safe on our short boat ride to the reef. We arrived to the reef and we snorkeled along the reef with Kevon pointing out fish and things of interest to see and Captain Jensen keeping a watchful eye on the group along with Kevon to assure our safety. The snorkel time was just right to enjoy the excursion and the small group size kept us from having to wait too long for entering the water and returning to the boat. They provided us with some very tasty Rum punch on our return to the kayaks. After kayaking back through the mangroves to the start point we were allowed to use outdoor shower, restrooms and then back to our open air transportation to return to the port. Our driver Andrew gave us a few snacks and took us to a beautiful beach area and gave us a lot of time to get in the water and enjoy the tranquil waters before returning us to our cruise terminal with plenty of time to spare before embarkation. We have done many excursions over the years from multiple cruises and international travel and this was one of the best excursions we have experienced, due to the group size, employees knowledge, personality and not feeling nickel and dimed. There was no photographer following us around pressuring us to buy pictures, we took our own pics or asked staff to take a pic of us. No one was pressuring us to tip them, but of course we did tip due to the great experience they provided. We highly recommend this excursion if you are a cruise passenger with a day in Antigua. We will definitely book with SoCoHo again next time we are in Antigua.

A great day out! - A very nice day ! A big thank you to all the team for making this a great experience. Especially a massive thanks to Andrew Reid who made our day even more special with the small details like sourcing black pineapple for us to try and very friendly/informative infos about Antigua. Kayaking in the mangrove was very cool, followed by the snorkeling on the reef where we saw a stingray and a barracuda. Great day and would highly recommend this tour.

Fun time through the mangrove - My fiance and I had such a fun experience during this excursion. It started with getting picked up by our land tour guide, Andrew. He was so kind and shared some cool tidbits about Antigua while we made our way to the destination. Once we arrived, we did a short kayak through the mangrove towards a small little beach area. There, we were picked up by the captain and taken to our snorkel site (boat ride was about 15 mins or so). We were told that we weren't sure we'd see many fish because of the weather, but it turned out that we saw a ton! The reefs there were a pretty bad shape due to bleaching from the sun, but even with that, we saw tons of cool fish. Snorkeling lasted about 30 mins and then we made our way back towards the beach. My fiance and I were able to have some snacks (rum punch, banana bread, beef patty, etc) and then we made our way back through the mangrove. Very fun and all the staff were amazing!

Kayaking and snorkelling - The staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and gave confidence. The equipment was all in very good condition. Most of all it was a fun experience where we got to see some really interesting things. A little disappointingly the kayaking was not very long (but for my wife this was a positive). Andrew who drove us in his jeep made the drive as interesting as possible (the jeep was very old and not the most comfy vehicle), Kevon was a great kayaking and snorkelling lead and Jenson who drove (don’t think that’s the right term - piloted maybe) the boat was excellent too.

Brilliant day trip and very fun - We had such a fun day on this trip! From the minute we got into the safari truck we had a tour of local surroundings & stopped to enjoy local pineapple. I’d never snorkelled before but it was a brilliant experience - kayaking, snorkelling then enjoying some rum punch. The tour guides were fantastic, friendly and knowledgable. Definitely recommend this!

Great activity. - We had a great half day, Andrew picked us up and was really helpful, the kayaking was very short, could have been a bit longer, the snorkeling was fantastic and Jenson was very knowledgeable. We had lunch and Andrew and Jenson spent time with us telling us all about life in Antigua and getting to know us. We were very spoilt with their attention. It was a little pricey but I would recommend this activity
