Great trip !! - Thanks for the great trip, on the Timber Trail. The entire trip flowed perfectly. Your start point was easy to find, the shuttle was good (and informative). The track itself provides a wonderful exposure to native NZ bush, and the view from a side walking track was all the way from Taranaki, past Ruapehu and to Lake Taupo - a knock out !! We loved the lodge. we could easily hose down the bikes and lube them up for the next day, then unpack in the comfortable rooms; following a well-earned shower, pizzas and a few coldies before a delicious dinner. Day 2 is another great ride, with the bridges and cave to explore, along with more NZ bush. All up a really worthwhile trip and very well run.

Classy & amazing MTB trip through scenic & historic forests - Extremely well organised and friendly service. Loved the commentary about the history of the local area and Nz history in general when being transported to the start of the trail. The Timber Trail Lodge was a great place to stay. Friendly staff, awesome facilities and great food.

2 day ride and lodge stay - Great service, well briefed. Bikes were generally in good Nick but hammered by the mud. Really enjoyed the ride. Stay at the lodge was worth it too.

Timber Trail adventure - Had a blast on the trail. Great adventure. Very pleased we chose to hire e-bikes. The lodge was a welcome rest overnight with a luxury evening meal and comforts. Weather played ball and only drizzled on and off.

Reliable, friendly service. - The shuttle team were awesome to work with. A safe area to leave your car. Bikes transported to the beginning of the trail and riders delivered to the lodge. Interesting commentary with a real ‘Kiwi’ flavour as we travelled. Two shuttle times provided for pick up at the end of two days but also a short 4 km ride back to base.

Two night stay for two days ride with shuttles. - We have had the best two day ride with great trails and scenery. The native forest was breathtaking, as were the views, history and the swing bridges. Our stay at the Timber Trail Lodge was wonderful. Great food and people and the rooms were lovely. Was awesome sitting on the deck with a wine and pizza after a days ride. Recommend a two night stay and taking advantage of the shuttles which were prompt, informative and friendly.

Shuttles, scenery & stories - Barney & Pete were both great. They told us some great stories about the history of the area. The drive is full of stunning local sites. They also took great photos of our group & one of their team helped us with a last minute bike repair.

Timber Trail. - Efficient transportation and good quality bikes for hire. Be careful though as accommodation is not provided even though the bike hire is over two days (and therefore overnight). You need to book accommodation as part of the package which adds a significant extra. If you are on a budget a better option is to use Camp Epic Timber Trail.

Great, apart from the bike. - The trip was well organised with great attention to detail. Our driver, Mike provided lots of historical and local interest anecdotes. Unfortunately, the e bike they hired me had three broken top gears which were unusable. As I discovered the problem a few kilometres down the trail I was stuck with the bike for the rest of the journey. Best advice - test your hire bike thoroughly before leaving base, as no refunds are offered!
