Excellent Guided Tour - Gunnar was an excellent guide. His historical knowledge was exceptional and his facts quite poignant. He helped us get the most out of the tour, explaining things that we may not have fully understood without his expertise. Thank you again for an exceptional tour.

Worthwhile - 4 hour trip in total. We loved that we could tailor our departure time. We arrived early, and literally had a private tour. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Our driver was wonderful as well. I feel this is a very worthwhile visit, although very sad. “never forget”.

Great tour of the history and a good lesson for all of us to stop racism and encourage peace - Very educative tour of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. It was sad touring the site as we couldn't imagine what humans like us went through back in the day. Great lesson for all of us now to stop racism and treat all of us equally.

Wish we did a self tour instead! - 5 stars for the driver, 1 star for the tour guide. Started the tour off by gloating about how he couple speak multiple languages. Not engaging AT ALL… he gave us 4-5 minutes to read through the material in the memorial rooms which probably should have taken at least 30 minutes, but to the very least, he should have given us 15 minutes. We could have used the time he devoted to talking about himself or pointing out Spanish speaking tourists to perusing the memorials. Filled in time between walking to the various sites by talking about Spanish speaking tourists than history about the camp. He wasn’t very welcoming of questions… And we’re not the sort to raise our hands every 5 seconds with nonsense remarks or questions. We were a group of respectful, attentive adults and children who, despite his peculiar crotchety behavior, remained respectful. He complained about one of our friends to others in our party about her being on the phone (who had walked quietly far away from any person to hear) who happened to be speaking to her physician about a medical issue. Not good to speak poorly of anyone, much less a friend. We could hardly hear what he was saying the entire time too. Strained and strained and guessed, we did. We could have easily done a self tour and saved $1,000. The weight and depth of the memorial was powerful, palpable. Too bad we didn’t do a self tour instead.
