Pulala Tenma - We’ve got lots to show you in this historic neighborhood, and not just related to food either. Over the course of a 35 minute stroll, you’ll learn about the history and now of this part of Osaka. We’ll also visit two different restaurants here in Tenma, spending about half an hour in each. This is THE foodie city, so let’s get down to the details! Food will vary by restaurant and your tastes over the course of the evening, but typical dishes include kushi katsu (various fried food on sticks), dote nikomi (slow cooked beef… parts), “tonpei yaki” (a grilled pork and egg dish), poached chicken with sesame seed dressing, slow simmered vegetables in a light soy sauce fish stock, lightly pickled mackerel, and much more! We always serve at least ten dishes on our tours.
Incidentally, for those looking for something extra beefy, we offer the option of adding 100g (3.5 oz.) of well-marbled Kobe (or nearby) beef at one of our stops. Delicious, but plenty of food tonight even without the beef.

- Maximum group size of six (eight for private tours) allows for a truly immersive experience
- Gratuities are uncommon in Japan, however if you really enjoyed your time and want to show your guide how much you appreciate them, you should feel free to do so. However, there is absolutely NO tipping expectation.

Just outside the faregates of JR Tenma Station is a McDonalds. There's only one exit from the station, so it's not confusing. Just exit and veer right.

A fun and interesting evening, for sure! - Alejandro was a knowledgeable and interesting guide for our Osaka Food-n-Fun tour. The food and drinks (beer, saki, soda) were delicious and plentiful. Alejandro shared interesting tidbits of information that were enlightening as well as entertaining—surely info not to be found in a guidebook!

Osako fun night tour - This was a fantastic tour and made more enjoyable by our tour guide, Alejandro. You will see some traditional Osaka eating and drinking spots on this tour. Definitely worth the time and money. I highly recommend it

Insightful, engaging and tasty. - Brilliant tour. Ferdinand knows what he’s about. A great mix of culture and food. We were a small group and we were truly stuffed by the end. I enjoyed the banter and the walk. Thanks.

Fun night with deep learning! - Our guide, Kevin, was extremely informative, giving us real insight into the true culture, infusing his insight and tips with humor and fun. This tour and our guide Kevin really enhanced our fun and knowledge of Osaka. I highly recommend this to all!

A fun night out in Osaka - Great experience! The group was a great size - 6 people in total plus our guide - so it made for relatively easy flowing conversation as we traveled to our various stops over the course of the evening. The guide was knowledgeable and we got to eat a lot of interesting (and tasty!) items that I never would have found on my own.

Great night in Osaka! - Our guide (Brian) was fantastic! Knowledgeable, very funny, great with our young teens and did everything to make sure everyone had a nice experience. Highly recommend this tour - especially for a short visit to Osaka.

We had a blast during... - We had a blast during this food tour with our guide Joshua. We toured the Tenma and Kyobashi neighbourhoods and we learned about Osaka’s culture along the way. We ate at 3 different restaurants : small restaurant in a bustling alley, standing bar, izakaya style restaurant. We shared plates of amazing dishes and had lots to sample from (kushi katsu, sashimi, seafood, meats…). We got drinks at each spot (non-alcoholic was an option). We had a fabulous time and would recommend +++

A great tour of the night time hot spots for Osaka locals - I was looking for a tour that didn't go through the usual touristy areas like Dotonburi and this tour with Alejandro was perfect. We got to explore a few standing izakayas around Tenma, eating as the locals do.
