We’ll make Okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza/pancakes). I’ll show you the easiest way to prepare it, so you can make it at home! I can cater to your dietary needs (vegan, vegetarian, Halal, etc.).
Please note that some ingredients may contain refined sugar.
This activity is also available at night, depending on the day.
I’ve been offering this experience since 2015. I usually invite our Osaka friends to join and interact with guests. People love engaging with the locals too!

Some nice knowledge to bring home! - So much fun! Loved the food and something nice to bring back to my home and make there! We arrived, were explained the history of Okonomiyaki, and we were explained the different ingredients you could use. Then we started the cooking. We all ate together with a serving of Miso Soup and as a dessert a very nice Mochi Treat.

Great Experience - We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon cooking Okonomiyaki with our lovely hosts, Keiko and her mother. She made us feel comfortable and welcome, resulting in a delicious meal of Okonomiyaki, to be enjoyed around the table with our fellow guests and herself. Easy to locate and walking distance to Dotonbori. We Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Osaka. Arigato Gozaimasu

Delicious okonmiyaki and preparation tips - We learned the tips and techniques to make perfect Osaka-style okonomiyai! Oishi! Keiko showed us how to flip the okonomiyaki to ensure the perfect crispy result. Keiko’s assistant, Kimmi, told us about tea and seasonal sweets. A wonderful time!

It was a great and fun... - It was a great and fun experience, with a good mix of getting to know the Japanese culture, people and ingredients. Also, that you can cook this meal anywhere in the world as you don’t need any special equipment. Thank you for that amazing experience!

Keiko’s Osaka Okonomiyaki cooking experience - loved it! - We learnt a lot about Japanese food and Japanese culture. We also chatted with fellow ‘students’ from Germany and Turkey. Keiko and her mother were fabulous hosts for our cooking experience. Keiko even catered for my vegan request too! Explaining different ingredients to us and how to use them.

Fun, tasty cooking class - This cooking class was a great experience while in Osaka. My friend and I enjoyed it a lot. Keiko, Kiyoko and Satchiko were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The class was well organised, easy to find and the Okonomiyaki was very tasty! I look forward to making it again at home.

A fun cooking experience - We had a great time learning about, and cooking okonomiyaki. Our host was excellent. She spoke English very well and explained the history, and regional differences of this super tasty dish. You’ll get to meet people from around the world and cook together, then eat together. Also, if you want a safe place to practice your Japanese - this is it.

Cooking Lesson thats Easy to do Back Home - This was a fun experience for my partner and I to meet a few locals who wanted to share their experience and knowledge with making okonomiyaki.
I enjoyed the class alot. Instructions were easy to follow. I can easily bring this lesson back home and cook for myself and others during parties.
I enjoyed learning from them as well as helping the locals practice their english too.
Would definitely take another cooking class with Keiko if I could. Highly recommend.

Authentic okonomiyaki!!! - Our instructor was awesome! Her and her assistant/mother shared their passion for cooking local version of okonomiyaki with our small group. They were super organized and the results were delish! So glad we decided to attend this class.
