Additional Information

Meet your guide at your hotel in central Oslo, and take public transport to reach the beautiful Maridalen Lake north of the city. Begin your hike into Nordmarka, leave civilization behind and head off into the untouched wilderness.

Along the way, keep an eye out for local wildlife species. Pass beautiful lakes and rivers, and traverse through old-growth forest. Learn about local culture and ecology as you explore.

After about 6.5 km, we will come to one of the highlights of the trip and one of the most special places in all of Nordmarka, the suspension bridge named Bjørnsjøhelvete.

Continue ever deeper into the forest, or choose to conquer some more challenging terrain, burning more calories and getting the blood flowing. Enjoy a tasty lunch at a trail café in the heart of the forest.

Make your way to Sognsvann Lake, one of Oslo’s most popular areas for swimming and summertime picnics by the water’s edge. From Sognsvann, hop on the metro for a short ride back to the city center.
