- Torre del Serpe - Discover one of Otranto’s iconic landmarks, the legendary Tower of the Serpe, and hike along the Orte Trail until we reach the bay that shares its name.
- Baia delle Orte - Ascend the coast to explore the former Bauxite Quarry, featuring its red pond and striking red earth dunes, in a unique setting that has become one of the Nature Park’s most remarkable spots.

- Parco Naturale Regionale Costa Otranto - Santa Maria di Leuca e Bosco di Tricase - Continue along Il Sentiero di Capo d’Otranto, one of the park’s most thrilling and adventurous trails. Embark on an exciting trek through the fossil forest, and explore the Wind Cave and the scenic Cyclops Cave.
- Punta Palascia Lighthouse - Set off towards Punta Palascia to reach the Lighthouse, stopping at Italy’s easternmost point. From here, observe the Adriatic Sea with the mountains of Albania and the Greek Island of Corfu in the background, seemingly within reach. Continue trekking along the nature trails of the Otranto-Leuca Nature Park.

Embark on an exhilarating journey with us as we traverse the Cape of Otranto Trail, visiting the remarkable Punta Palascia Lighthouse and the Otranto-Leuca Nature Park. Our trek will offer stunning panoramic views as we walk alongside towering cliffs, explore the mythic Serpe Tower, and follow the Orte pathway. As we ascend the coastline, we’ll uncover the former Bauxite Quarry along with its distinctive red lake and brilliant red sand dunes. Our journey continues along the Capo d’Otranto path for an adventurous trek through the fossil forest, and to explore the Wind Cave and the picturesque Cyclops Cave. The adventure’s pinnacle lies at the Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Italy, where we’ll trek the paths of the Francigena Way until we reach the Cippano Farmstead. From here, we’ll take the Path of Memories starting from Martyrs’ Hill, winding our way back to our point of origin in Otranto for the end of our exciting expedition.
