Short walk and cruise - Our guide was informative, enthusiastic and well versed on the area. Cruise part was very relaxing after the walk and the guide there was very good.

Good informative tour ... - Good informatiove guide (Katherine) and explained the highlights of Canada's capital city. The cruise at the end of the walking tour was also very informative and gives you differing views of the Ottawan skyline from the river. Very pleased we chose this particular tour.

Enjoyed the boat - Boat tour was great. Kudos to tour guide Melanie(Melody?), John and Captain Logan(?). I would go again. Liked the “green” electric boat. Interesting information, engaging presentation. Walking tour - MEH.

Nice tour of Ottawa - We were the only people on the tour. Our guide was young but very personable. He was learning the business so didn’t have all the extra history and information that experienced guides would have. President Zelenskyy was in parliament on our tour date so it was exciting to see the motorcade (twice actually) but it meant the Parliament grounds were closed. We enjoyed the walking tour but really enjoyed the river cruise. That guide was young, vibrant, knowledgeable and spoke everything in French and English. Overall the combination was good but not worth the per person price (plus tip)

Disappointed...... - We were late arriving. Actually planned to be there one hour early. Glad we did. Highway lanes were closed due to construction. Also, we were not advised by Viator where to park. We had to walk/run 3-4 blocks arriving 20 minutes late. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable of the area. The canal cruise was just ok.

Loved the camel cruise... - Loved the camel cruise Matteo and mate was wonderful. Angela on the other hand needed to put a little more effort in her explanation and not skim so much. Wasn’t prepared.. read from her phone and told us how tired she was..

Disappointing walking tour, lovely boat tour. - Our walking guide met us at the appointed time and place and was cheerful We were, however, very disappointed that our guide did not seem to have an agenda, and chose to engage in political discussions, which we felt were inappropriate and at times disrespectful, putting participants in an awkward position. The guide could have given us more information about many local public art installations and buildings. The scenic River cruise was lovely; the on board guide spoke well in the two official languages, and chose to be respectful of all elected and appointed officials,

Don't bother - This was not well organized tour. Don't book this one. On the first day we booked this tour, we arrived 10 minutes earlier at meeting place. Nobody showed up. I sent multiple messages to the guide, nobody answered. After 30 minutes past meeting time, I had to call Viator, which had a live person answering the phone. They put us on hold for 20 minutes and came back to tell us that the guide was sick so they had to cancel this tour today. But nobody had a courtesy to let us know ahead of time. Because of this schedule we wasted a whole morning instead of other activities. They asked if we wanted to keep the same tour for the next morning. I had to cancel the other activities to keep this tour. The next morning, a girl named Angie met us at the same place. She said the guide was sick so she came to replace the guide to show us around but she was not a guide. She really didn't know what she was doing. She took her phone and looked at a list and said if we wished to go there. when we asked any questions, she didn't know. She checked google on the phone. We walked around for about a couple sites for about 30 minutes, we stopped at monument plaza. She said she needed to get the tickets for our cruise. Then she fumbled on the phone for another 15 minutes. We took the next 15 minutes trying to transfer the tickets to our phones. After that, she said her job was finished. She showed us where to board the cruise ship and she left. We had about one hour before the cruise time. The walking tour was supposed to be 1 and 1/2 hour plus the boat cruise. I ended up only seeing 2-3 places and the walking tour lasted only 30 minutes. I don't want to blame Angie. She was in the wrong place doing the wrong job. If they didn't have the right person to operate this tour, they shouldn't gotten the bookings. It had wasted 2 mornings of our schedule. We only scheduled to say in Ottawa for 2 days. I also need to complain about Viator.com. I had been booking with Viator for many many tours. This kind of bad encounter had never happened. When I reported to Viator and asked for some kind of compensation, they refused. Apparently they don't care about a valuable customer like us.
