Fabulous tour to Atlas mountain annd waterfalls - This was a great day trip. Tip: even those in good shape might have some breathing issues due to altitude change when climbing to the waterfalls. Some parts were easy going but some "steps" we waist high. Simo, our driver, was onn time and we had easy communication with Whatsapp with tour operator. We visited a beaufitul cafe, a herbal medicine cooperative, typical house in Berber Village, and had a delicous lunch at a place with seating at the river. In late March, the river was quite full and active as snow from the mountains is melting. The only negative experience during our tour was the guide to the waterfalls. The guide was expert and friendly, that is for certain. However, when Simo asked if we wanted to climb to see the waterfalls and we said yes, he said he would then grab a guide. At no time was it mentionoed the guuide was additional 30 euro (or 300 dirhams). After the guide took us to our seating at restaurant and my husband tipped him, the guide said it was not enough and the cost was 300 dirhams. We werre surprised and a bit embarrassed. And then mad that this had not been communicated BEFORE the climb by Simo or the guide. After we joined Simo again after lunch, we learned this was NOT expected and the guide was being underhanded. In the end, we gave the guide 100 dirhams and he left disgruntled. It just marred an otherwise perfect day. The toour operator said they would report the guide to the association. Just seomthing for others to be aware of prior to the waterfall piece of tour.
