If you want being the scenes intel rather than anything you can read out of a book, do THIS tour - Thank goodness we booked this tour and not some of the others that we could overhear which lacked authenticity and seemed to be hosted tour guides reading out of a book, selected for their loud voices only, some groups had leaders with a tannoy they were so big, I could visibly see them 'losing their group' . . Not so on this tour with Tom. We couldn't have asked for more with our English graduate from Christchurch college . The group of 12 was a good size. He was engaging, funny, authentic and knew the history dates an all the tales . He knew where the toilet stops and water stops were and graciously built those in , what the best times to do the different colleges were as it was a Sunday morning. The pace was easy. We got local knowledge, and lots of inside track on life as a student there , the interview processes and the nuances between the different colleges He was also happy to offer his time after for any questions, which a lot of us did, we just stayed and chatted. 5 star guide

Recommended - Nick was very knowledgable and funny. We had a good time walking across Oxford's main landmarks and a sneakpeek into one of the major colleges. A but pricey but that's the UK.

OXFORD-TOP ACADEMIC INSTITUTION IN THE WORLD - I'm so glad to have this opportunity to visit this world renowned university, we took the train from Paddington station to there, it was quite convenient. This university located at a quite town, and impressed me with unique academic architectures, the visual impact is profound, every school got it's own church, canteen, dormitory, library and lecture room, they are highly self dependent, the strong academic atmosphere can be felt everywhere, it provides almost everything the students may need during his academic study at this academic palace, and the visitors can obtain the access during the office hours to have a close look at the those buildings. Of course, as all the academic town does, everything are sufficiently provided, restaurants, grocery stores, supermarket, shopping centers, no worries for your visit at all. If you got time in U.K., do schedule a visit to go.

Brilliant tour - Richard was very knowledgeable and interesting. There were funny anecdotes and amazing architecture throughout. We would have liked to discover more and maybe walk a bit further around the city.

Well done - Great explanations, by our tour guide, especially in Trinity College. Skip the newer library stop and spend more time in the historically significant places.

Disappointed - The tour was not what I expected. Our guide brought us around the area and informative information (good). The guide was long winded on history (not good). Not necessarily relevant for me. We changed our tour time without any issue at the tour office. Later we received an email scolding us for not showing up at the original tour time. It was not our fault the staff did not record the change.

Average experience. - The guide was often difficult to understand. Partly due to English being her second language and also because she habitually turned her head away from the group to look at whatever it was she was describing. The information she provided was often trivial. I would have preferred a tour with more descriptive substance. However, I did learn a little and the tour helped me get my bearings.

Not Worth It - I was very disappointed with this tour, especially something which is rated 5 stars and publicises as being among the "World's Top 10 Things to Do as per Tripadvisor". HOW!? Neither was the tour that spectaclular (some buildings were normal nice to look at), she was stuttering throughout and also did not have too many interesting facts. One of the colleges you are taken inside but can just see the building exteriors only, which doesn't serve the purpose. Did not seem professional - seemed like a fun gig and overpriced.
