Highlights
  • Phuket Elephant Sanctuary - A morning with the elephants is an eye-opening and inspiring experience. Following a scenic drive along a local village you will arrive at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, a picturesque jungle dotted with ponds, wide open fields and hillsides for the elephants to roam around.

Your visit starts at our Tree Top Lounge, where we will show you a presentation and educational video to prepare you for your encounter with the elephants, and to help you understand why they need to be protected.

Next up, the elephants are fed. While they enjoy their baskets of bananas, pineapples and cucumbers, you have a chance to learn from our guides about the background of each elephant.

Once the elephants are fed, we follow them down into the jungle. By keeping a safe distance and watching them from our Observation Salas, the elephants have the freedom to express their natural behavior, from bathing and playing in our pond to socializing with each other.

The program ends with a delicious Thai vegetarian meal.

Elephants are amazing - Really cared for the elephants, providing so much insight into how they live. Everything goes back into upkeep for the animals too. Thank-you.

Wonderful morning learning and exploring the sanctuary, the elephants are so well looked after in this amazing sanctuary - The trip is amazing, if you are looking for an ethical experience this is the place to go! The elephants are looked after so well, and are left at peace to roam free. The money spent on this experience is put towards buying and caring for more elephants that are in need of saving

Join the tour and help give sanctuary to elder elephants! - Such a wonderful experience! They just wanted love like everybody else. If you wanted to ride elephants, this is not for you. But you have the ability to feed the elder elephants being taken cared by sanctuary. More importantly, by joining this tour, you are helping their cause of putting these retiring and mostly abused elephants to a much deserved and better home. Its a milllion baht for each female elephant that they want to rescue! So please join and help thwir cause!

A must do experience for all! - Well organised and caters for all. We went on a wet day and were given gumboots and rain gear. Get educated on the way elephants are treated before getting up close to these majestic animals, who are thriving in this beautiful sanctuary. Ample time to walk around the sanctuary and meet the elephants while accompanied by your own guide who tells you all about the elephants and where they have come from. Well worth a visit and the highlight of our trip!

Wonderful experience! - What a fantastic morning with the Elephants! We took a long time reading reviews and researching where to interact with elephants in the Phuket and Krabi areas and this place looked the most ethical and we were not disappointed. You get to feed and be close to a dozen or so rescue elephants without bathing or washing them or anything and the elephants are clearly very well looked after and happy. Such lovely, gentle creatures, Our guide Rita was knowledgeable and friendly and the vegetarian lunch and welcome snacks were excellent. Highly recommend this place and please choose this experience over the ones where you wash, bath with or ride elephants - all sanctuaries should be like this one...

Great experience- but just know going in. …. - I echo all the wonderful things already said about this sanctuary and those working there. I do think it’s important for people to know this is not for people with mobility issues of any kind. It’s kind of intense to be in the hot, humid jungle -one woman in our group came thisclose to passing out after getting off the 10 minute winding bumpy ride in the truck from the meeting point- and then walk across high grid walkways (look straight ahead., not down) and through some muddy and slippery hills and paths. One guy definitely fell down the ramp, but he was ok. Honestly, it was a thud we heard from the platform above. Anyway, I was surprised at this, so I would hate for someone to come here and be disappointed or overwhelmed. It’s definitely not a flat, easy park. I’m fairly fit and found myself trying to find a place to sit down for a minute a few times during the tour.

Great experience to see and learn - We family of 5 - 13,10,8 year old children enjoyed getting to be so close to our large friends and learning about their individual stories about being rescued and their past and how they've escaped that life now with somebody to care for them each. Our kids loved feeding them and did much better at doing so than i. Created a very memorable moment for us. Thankyou

Highly recommend - Such a great experience! Learning about how unethical the industry is and the fact that this company is trying its best to change that is incredible. Would highly recommend doing this tour, staff very knowledgeable and able to get very close to the elephants in their natural habitat.
