Give Pachacamac a try! - My daughter and I had an excellent experience on our tour of Pachacamac. The driver and guide picked us up on time, the van was clean and comfortable and the historic and cultural information provided by the guide was fascinating. A must for anyone with a genuine interest in Incan history. The drive from the tourist areas of Lima is through some of poorer and more working class neighborhoods, which was interesting in itself. The guide was able to keep us engaged even when stuck in rush hour traffic. We were in Lima during a time of unexpected bad weather, so our boat trip had been cancelled. This trip was a replacement and exceeded our expectations. Tip: The site is enormous and hilly. Be prepared to walk a fair bit and hike up to the main temple. The view of the ocean from the top is amazing and worth the trek.
