day trip to agrigento - highly recommend the day tour from Palermo. yes you start early and arriving to the roman villa before the buses is worth it. the rest of the tour is pleasant and nicola is attentive and informative. we had a great time, just make sure you sit near the front of the mini van as the roads can get a little bumpy.

A perfect way - Agrigento and Villa Romana both exceeded expectations. The temples at Agrigento were larger and more impressive than imagined, and the skillful guide made the experience especially worthwhile. Our guide for the day also made the experience. He was knowledgeable, patient, accessible and a pleasure to spend time with.

Palermo Day trip=Amazing experience to two sites made wonderful and brought to life by local guides Nicola and Giovanna - Our bus trip to these two amazing sites was a wonderful experience filled with lovely insights and stories along the way by Nicola. The Guides were local to Agrigento and a wellspring of knowledge on the storied History of Sicilia. From start to finish he and his lovely assistant/teacher/Mom, Giovanna, gave us a behind the scenes look into the fascinating story of the ancient past they inherited during our time in the valley of the temples. It was a memorable personalized day trip from Palermo driven by the friendly Giacomo, so glad to have had our lovely local guides.

A must see trip - These two sites have to be seen, so do consider this trip if you are based in Palermo but want to see a bit more of the interior and the island's classical past. The casale mosaics will amaze. The 6.30am start is brutal but there is a very good coffee and pastry stop en route and time to grab a coffee or gelato atamidst the doric temples of Agrigento and a snack lunch at casale. Back in Palermo by 5. 30. Our thanks to guide Giovanna and our minibus driver Marcello.

Fantastic experience, the driver Giacomo and the guide Nicola were fantastic. The Valley of the Temples is an experience absolutely worth having - Everything was perfect, the driver and guide Nicola were very knowledgeable and friendly. The valley of the temples and the Roman villa are absolutely worth visiting. On-site guides offer further information. I recommend bringing something to munch on along the way, unfortunately there aren't many options on the excursion.

PERILOUS AND NOISY - AVOID THE BORGO VECCHIO NEIGHBORHOOD, A LOT OF NOISE AND DELINQUENCE. BE CAREFUL OF CAR RENTERS WHO TAKE YOUR CARD, DO NOT HAVE A VISA BLUE CARD TERMINAL AND LOOK AT YOUR CARD CODES AND VALIDITY DATES! YOU NEED A “CREDIT” CARD TO BE ABLE TO RENT.
