Additional Information

Known as the ‘Holy City’, Hierapolis is a historical city of the Greco-Roman era nestled in Phrygia on thermal springs, situated in the southwest region of Anatolia. Its remnants stand side by side with contemporary Pamukkale. Hierapolis enjoys the status of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since the 2nd Century B.C.E., its thermal springs served as a wellness spa where people sought relief for their health conditions, often spending their last days or passing away here. Some notable attractions include its expansive necropolis brimming with sarcophagi, the main boulevard featuring gates and latrines, the cathedral, the theatre, and the tomb of St. Philips. The thermal springs trigger waterfalls, popularly referred to as the Cotton Castle. Despite the journey from Antalya requiring a bit of an early start, the unique experience is well worth it. The tour highlights delve into exploring Hierapolis and Pamukkale while being part of a small group under a guide, osmosis in the mineral-infused thermal waters of the Kleopatra Pool, and includes a lunch treat and admission to Pamukkale sites. Amazing experience and awesome service - Ali and his team (U Can Travel) were exceptional in their service and integrity. I booked two tours with them on short notice and they came through. They planned it perfectly to my needs and when there were challenges, they worked with me and other partners to create a seamless experience. I had booked a Hot Air Balloon trip In Pammukkale, that got cancelled due to bad weather. They rebooked me for the next day and as the time was short, they organized a car to take me straight to the airport, creating an extraordinary experience and lifetime memory for my family and me. I would strongly recommend them.

Fantastic - Lovely tour. Very long ride to get there but it was worth it. We kept hoping for lunch after the visit but can see logistic difficulties. It wasn’t a guided tour as much as a drive with a tour guide, but that’s ok. I enjoyed the onyx workshop and the wine workshop too. The salt pools are a must visit / quite unique in my opinion

A wonderful day. - The process took place as described, guide Mehmet tried to stick to the schedule, spoke perfect English, otherwise translated online. 3 options were suggested as to how the time could best be used. He is good informed + helpful.

Not worth the money. Read my review to know why’d - If you are not staying in Antalya but staying in Pamukkale or in Denzili DONOT take this trip as you will be paying more than if you book a trip locally. Although the trip start time says 7:30 am that is for people living in Antalya. Pamukkale by itself is a beautiful place dotted with the ancient ruins of Hieropolis. Our tour guide Toylan was a nice person with very little to offer in terms of explaining the history of the place as a guide. He encouraged us to explore the amphiteatre on our own as it was a bit of a uphill walk. The trip itself presented with many oppurtunities of buying souveniers such as precious stones outlet and textile store which took up time in seeing and spending more time in the waters of Pamukkale.
