Highlights
- San Antonio Palopo - We visit a local Ceramic factory to learn about the process and see how it is made. we also visit the local Chocolate factory, the dock and shops by the water
- Santa Catarina Palopo - During this stop we are able to learn and see local weavings, clothing, blankets, and many of the local goods made at this village. We also visit the local cultural center where we can taste some local coffee and chocolate, and lastly head over to the dock where we can do some shopping or grab a snack and drinks at the waterfront restaurant.
- Panajachel - we head over to Playa Blanca en Barrio Jucanya for some pictures and check out the edge of the lake with the locals before heading back to Simoon Pana office.

Additional Information
We have brought fun and excitement and mixed it in with the beauty and cultural experiences the lake has to offer. We depart from our office in Panajachel and head over to Barrio Jucanya and visit Playa los Salpores, the local beach located on the edge of the lake to take our first clear view of the lake and its surroundings. After spending some time there we make our way to the colorful village of Santa Catarina Palopo. In this village we are able to see and learn about local weavings, blankets, nahuales and other goods made and sold by the locals. At the plaza of this village, we visit a local coffee house where you can grind your own coffee and taste the locally grown beans. Once finished in Santa Catarina we hop back on our ATVs to the village of San Antonio Palopo. We visit local ceramic factory where we learn about the process to make all these incredible goods. We also visit a local chocolate factory in San Antonio where we learn about the process…

Fun, exhilarating, and full of culture. - My family and I had so much fun on this awesome adventure. It was so much fun riding the ATVs through the town up and down winding roads. We traveled to two different little towns and were able to immerse ourselves in part of the culture. Our guide was, extremely nice and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He offered us the opportunity to purchase items at some of the stops, but did not make us feel obligated to do so. I highly recommend this activity if you’re looking for something different off of the lake. You get some awesome views while you’re driving along the roads of the volcano and the lake.

Adventurous, definitely must do! - It was an amazing tour, super adventurous, we drove around 3-4 hours in a different types of road, visited a few small towns and Pedro was very attentive and good guide. One of the best tours in Guatemala. Definitely must do.

So much fun - speed and culture all in one!! - Yeshua was a wonderful guide! So personable, fun, and takes great pics!! Was unsure about heading on this tour but so glad I did, it was worth every cent. Great to see local communities and loved visiting the ceramics factory!

Must do for the culture & adventure - Highly recommend the ATV tour!! I booked the night before and there was only 2 of us on the tour. It almost felt like a private tour. Yeshua was an amazing guide! He was super knowledgeable, fun, and a great photographer. Gave us the chance to learn more about the local cultures around Lake Atitlan. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Panajachel.

So much fun riding ATVs and learning more about Panajachel culture! - Our tour was awesome. We had a super kind and compassionate tour guide who was very knowledgeable about all three spots he took us to throughout the tour— We went to a textiles house, a coffee shop, pottery co-op, and a chocolate shop. Our guide explained their culture incredibly well and he also responded very quickly and kindly to a slight mishap with ATV keys on our part during the tour. He also took cute photos of us throughout the tour, which we appreciated. Overall a really well done tour and definitely served as one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Panajachel. Thank you guys!!

Fun activity for Couples - Well worth it - went with the wife and enjoyed the village and local stops over the four hour journey. Chocolate, rum, ceramics, textiles and coffee! I’m an experienced motorcycle and ATV rider and it was fun. It was light traffic in a couple spots between villages on. Tuesday morning.
Pedro, our guide, was fun, knowledgeable and sincere about the spots and experiences.

Awesome ATV tour - This was a wonderful experience. We went to a few different villages where we got to see many different things such as women’s weaving, pottery, and tasting cocoa. It was my first time doing an ATV tour and I would absolutely do it again, it was lots of fun. The tour guide Yeshua was awesome and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing adventure, totally worth it! - 10/10! Amazingly fun tour of a couple of villages near Panajachel on ATVs. Yeshua is an incredible guide—-fun, easygoing and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a sense of adventure and curiosity about the local culture.
