This tour provides a chance to explore Panama’s history and culture with a professional guide, as you visit various tourist attractions.

Duration: 5 hours
Cancellation: 24 hours
Highlights
  • Casco Viejo - Exploring Casco Viejo is one of the most incredible, educational, and enjoyable activities available. The chimes of its churches remind us that it is more vibrant than ever. In 1997, Panama’s Casco Viejo was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will stroll through its streets and squares, admiring its colonial architecture.
  • Paseo de Las Bovedas - The Paseo de las Bóvedas consists of walls that encircle the Plaza de Francia in Panama City. This impressive complex includes seven vaulted spaces that were once part of the city’s defensive system.
  • Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria the Ancient - Visiting the cathedral reveals a grand structure that blends Baroque and Renaissance architectural styles. Its main entrance features intricate and sculpted details showcasing the artistic excellence of the colonial era.
  • Museo de la Mola - The Mola Museum aims to provide visitors with an enriching experience through the display of its valuable collections.
  • Panama Canal - A guided tour of the Visitor Center offers a memorable experience. Visitors can observe the canal locks in operation, making it an ideal spot for photos and memories of this engineering marvel.

An IMAX theater at the visitor center shows a 3D movie, allowing you to rediscover the history of the Panama Canal like never before.

  • Monumento a Goethals - We will pass by the monument dedicated to Major General George Washington Goethals. Inaugurated on March 31, 1954, and designed by Alfred Shaw, it honors Goethals, a civil engineer and U.S. Army officer who oversaw the construction of the Panama Canal.

Note that this monument area is very busy during peak hours after 3 PM, and the guide may not always be able to visit the site.

  • Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The Amador Causeway hosts many of the city’s top attractions. On one side, you can see the Pacific entrance for ships to the Panama Canal. You can dine at some of the best Panamanian restaurants along the boardwalk and shop for local products in duty-free stores. Built in 1913 by the U.S. government using rocks excavated from Culebra Cut during the Panama Canal’s construction, this causeway is a must-visit.

Highly recommended!!!!!!!! - The tour was spectacular!! The guide gave us detailed explanations of everything we saw, he even calculated the times extremely well so that we could go to the canal and see a cruise ship that was going to pass and before more people arrived, he even brought a cooler with water for us. What I liked the most is that it was private and it also helped us take beautiful photos!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!
