Highlights

Drive to Sikles village - 2 hrs jeep drive & Trek to Hugu Goth (2,050m)

Sikles - Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Sikles. Once we reach Sikles, we will start our trek. The path has both ascents and descents and can be steep and narrow at times. However, the trail is well-marked and serves its purpose well. It offers views of the River Valley and several mountains, including Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Himal, which all look spectacular from the trail.

A well-known waterfall is also located along the trail and can be visited. We will arrive in Hugu Goth in the late afternoon after our hike, where we will stay overnight at a Teahouse or Camp. The term ‘Goth’ in Hugu Goth means ‘shed,’ likely named after a place where cattle were kept in older times. This place is also known as Goth Ghar.

Day hike to Kapuche Lake (2,450m)

Kapuche Glacier Lake - This will be one of the most exciting days of our hike, and we will get an early start. We will travel to the stunning Kapuche Lake, located at an elevation of 2,450 meters. After a hike of about two to three hours, we will arrive at Kapuche Lake.

The lake is the lowest-altitude glacial lake in Nepal. Standing on its shores, it feels like we are in a magical land. The location is absolutely breathtaking and sees little foot traffic, providing peace and quiet. We will return to Hugu Goth for the night.

Trek to Nohtha (3,050m)

Trek to Kori Danda (3,800m)

Trek to Sikles village (1,981m)

Way to Sikles - After breakfast, our day will involve more downhill hiking. Once we reach Sikles Village, we will spend some quality time with the locals and discuss our trip.

You can walk around the hamlet and gain a better understanding of Gurung culture right in their own backyard. Since Sikles village is quite large, we will be able to visit the surrounding areas, including those we couldn’t access during our previous visit.

Drive back to Pokhara (822m)

Pokhara Lakeside - This morning, after breakfast, we will visit Sikles village, collect our belongings, bid farewell to the villagers, and board the jeep or bus for the 2–3-hour trip back to Pokhara.
