Additional Information
Under the guidance of a certified pastry chef, you’ll uncover the mysteries behind France’s iconic croissants and chocolate-filled breads.
During our session, you’ll take on the role of the chef! You’ll learn how to prepare the dough from the ground up, engage in lamination, observe the leavening process of the croissants, and finally bake them.
In the private setting of a classic Parisian Haussmann-style apartment, you’ll become a true expert in croissant-making.
You’ll have the opportunity to savor delicious pastries, and you’ll depart the session with all of your beautiful creations, along with step-by-step instructions to replicate the process at home.
You’ll receive additional recommendations for your visit to Paris: activities, shopping destinations, dining options, and most importantly, the best places to enjoy high-quality pastries.

Awesome instructions and YUMMY! - My kids and I have not tried making croissants yet. Getting the little hints was so useful! We had a great time and got to bring back plenty of samplers!

Croissants Galore - Joannie provided such a great, personalized experience. Only 7 of us in the class at the same time, we learned all the steps of making croissants and pains au chocolat, most of which were hands on. At the end we had multiple pieces to take home along with enough to sample during class. Total time was a little over 2.5 hours. There is a (very cute) cat, in case you are allergic. Location was very convenient to the metro. Would definitely recommend as both a fun and learning experience.

Superb croissant-/pain au chocolat baking!! - This was so much fun! It was totally interesting, professionell but also cosy. We had the best time baking croissants and pain au chocolat and would totally recommend! You also get a big bag of everything you baked with you.

Croissants with a professional! - We enjoyed Joannie’s croissant and pain au chocolat class very much! She’s so knowledgeable and patient with all levels of chefs. It was nice to do the class in her quaint home and it added to the atmosphere. A memorable part of our family trip!

French Baking is a Labor of Love - Joannie was very good at organizing the class so that we learned all the steps - we did it all but not in the correct order which would have taken way too much time for this class and to eat the finished product.

Fun baking experience, our teenage son had a great time too - Joannie was a wonderful host. She was very informative and knowledgeable about the process of baking the croissants and pains au chocolate. We had a wonderful time. Our 15 year old son also enjoyed the experience. We had another family of a mom and two sons join us which worked out very well. Joannie had a cat but it did not bother us at all and my husbands allergies did not act up. We left with plenty of pastries for our plane ride home the next day. We highly recommend the experience.

Loved this croissant class! - We had a wonderful time at Joannie's class! It was well-organized, very informative, fun, and the croissants were delicious! Would definitely recommend for a couple, friends, or a small group to do while you are in Paris. She had a lot of information not only about croissant baking, but about pastries in Paris as well as travel recommendations while we were there too.
