Following your tour, you’ll be familiar with the lives of Sun King, Marie Antoinette, and Madame Pompadour, gaining an understanding of the French Revolution’s events and the Castle’s evolution into the contemporary era. Today, it continues to serve as the venue for gatherings of the French Parliament and receptions of international Heads of State.
As part of the tour, we impart the foundation upon which this edifice was built, the brainchild of a solitary figure: King Louis XIV. The conception of this grand endeavor took place when he was 20, and even at his death at age 78, it remained incomplete. A lifelong ambition that resulted in a creation of monumental significance unparalleled worldwide.

Wonderful small group tour, informative and entertaining. Would absolutely recommend for any visitor! - We had the most amazing and entertaining guide, Elizabeth. She was not only extremely fluent and articulate in English, but was an amazing story teller. She made the entire trip into Versailles and the tour itself very entertaining and informative by explaining the history of the people and events connected with this famous chateau, most importantly, King Louis XIV. How she told the story really brought the experience to life and the entire small group felt this tour was the highlight of our visit to Paris. Elizabeth also ensured our safety and comfort by directing us along the way as we took the train, grabbed snacks and found bathrooms as needed. Overall, an excellent experience!

Best tour of Versailles - This was the best tour thanks to the fabulous tour guide. We got to the meeting spot late, she waited, and found us. She knew the history of Versailles and told us in a way to captivate our attention the entire time! The small group was perfect, so much easier to get around. Wonderful experience.

Oh voila!! Best Versailles Tour ☺️ - BEST TOUR!!! Our guide Elizabeth was fantastic. She was so entertaining and kind to us and our kids. They loved it and didn’t even complain about the fact that they were walking for more than a couple of hours. Honestly I would do many more tours with My Super Paris, specially Elizabeth any day!

Easy, engaging, fun, hits all the high notes. - Having our wonderful guide, Elizabeth meet us at the train station to take us to Versailles made the guessing work out of purchasing our tickets and finding the right train to get on. We are a family of four with kids age 16 and 11. Elizabeth was so pleasant, happy, full of interesting stories and made this trip fabulous. She gave us some background history on the way to Versailles and gave us little headsets so that we could hear her well throughout the tour, this is a game-changer when you are in crowds. We walked the gardens, had a snack, and visited the Palais. We personally did not go back with her as we had other plans, but this tour includes the ride back, again making it easy to navigate. Highly recommend, she made it great for everybody.

Memorable experience - Our guide Elizabeth was an excellent story teller and really brought to life what living in Versailles in the 17th century must have been like!
She was amazing and I would love to book all my tours with her!!

Great guide but busiest time of year - I only gave 4 reviews bc the skip the line was a mess and out of our guides control. But sitting in the rain and waiting 30/45 min was irritating

Very disappointed - This tour was very misleading. I understood we would have 3 hours at Versailles and the time on the bus to and from would not be included in that time. Not true. The process to get into the place was very unorganized and took too long, so our tour was cut short. Our guide did not have a flag and so several in our group got disconnected from the group. We were told to take the rest of our time in the gardens and to be at the bus no later than 2:50 as it would depart at 3:00. But because we were late starting our tour there was little time to see the gardens and get to the bus. Then the bus was 40 minutes late so we wasted all that time just waiting for the bus. Very disappointed!!!
