Heidi Guidey takes us on a wonderful walking tour of Montmarte! - Heidi was a fantastic guide with a deep understanding of the history Montmarte. She will tell you the story of why the subway station/neighborhood is named “Blanche“. She will show you where Vincent van Gogh and his brother Theo lived and details of their lives. She will show you where Renoir painted one of his most famous paintings. Somehow, I had the impression that climbing Montmarte would be tedious, but she took a gentle way up, and I barely recognized we were climbing a hill. She told us about the Boulanger that has twice one awards for the best baguette in Paris. (I haven’t tried them all, but this one was really delicious.) her knowledge of French history of the times was superior, and she definitely brought it back to life with her excellent storytelling.
