Highlights
  • Jardin du Palais Royal - Commissioned by Cardinal de Richelieu in 1633, the Palace was constructed near the Louvre, the royal residence at the time, to allow this influential minister to remain close to the king. Nestled in the heart of Paris, just steps from the Louvre Museum and surrounded by government and cultural buildings like the Constitutional Council, Ministry of Culture and Communication, Comédie-Française, and Theatre du Palais Royal, lies the magnificent Jardin du Palais Royal.

  • La Comedie Francaise - We will discuss Moliere, the renowned writer whose plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed at the Comédie-Française more frequently than those of any other playwright. A unique and absolute reference in France, the troupe of the Comédie-Française is the oldest active theatre company in the world.

  • Rue Saint Honore - This 1,840-meter-long (6,036 feet) street connects the heart of Paris to the prestigious 8th arrondissement and is known for its trendy atmosphere. Cultural and historical sites, along with artistic treasures, can be discovered while strolling down rue Saint-Honoré. The Haussmann-style façades of the stone buildings provide a backdrop for chic boutiques that line your path, offering an enchanting walk through the heart of the “city of lights” day or night.

  • Eglise Saint-Roch - Measuring 126 meters in length and inspired by the design of Notre-Dame-de-Paris, the Saint-Roch Church is one of the largest in Paris. Due to the many decades it took to build, the Church of Saint-Roch features a mix of architectural styles, including classical and baroque.

  • Place-Vendome - Laid out in 1702 as a monument to the glory of Louis XIV’s armies, the square was later replaced by the Vendôme Column, modeled after Trajan’s Column in Rome, to commemorate Napoleon Bonaparte’s victory at Austerlitz in 1805. Today, it is renowned for its luxury boutiques, particularly jewelry stores.

  • Opera Garnier - The glamorous Opera Garnier was commissioned by Emperor Napoleon III as part of his project to reconstruct Paris. A competition for the best design was held in 1860 to build the new Paris Opera House, also known as Palais Garnier. It has long been a center of cultural excellence, hosting numerous high-profile operas and ballets.

  • Musee du Parfum - Fragonard - Located in the heart of Paris, just a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier, the Musée du Parfum is a unique, fun, and educational museum concept that brings to life the creation of a mythical luxury item now part of our daily lives: perfume. The collection includes ancient bottles that trace the history of perfume from Ancient Egypt to the 20th century, featuring kohl pots, pomanders, vinaigrettes, perfume burners, potpourris, travel sets, smelling salt bottles, and precious flasks.

As a treat for us ladies… we even got loads of information and tips on fashion and jewelry. Highly recommendable tour! Thank you again

New Tour, Great Guide (as usual!) - This was my second tour with Neda. I've booked her in January, when I was in Paris with my mum and we were both enthusiastic. This time I brought my wife and kids. She was, once again, attentive to my family needs, trying to make the tour interesting also for the kids. She didn't fail at all. I will definetely contact her again as soon as I come back to Paris
