Great experience cooking authentic French cuisine - We loved the authentic French menu and explanation of techniques. The meal was delicious!! Paulo, our chef, was very knowledgeable. I would definitely take another class from them. Be sure to read the directions as the market option is earlier than the described class time. I would take it easy on the day of the class as you will be standing for around 4 hours while preparing the meal. Wear comfortable shoes.

fantastic experience! - This was one of my favorite experiences on my week-long trip to Paris. It was also hands-down the best food I tasted in France! Our chef Paulo was a great teacher, very knowledgeable, and fun to work with. It was very helpful to watch him demonstrate a particular technique, and then get to try it myself and ask for immediate feedback. I've already taken the techniques I learned back to my own home cooking and been nicely rewarded. 100% recommended!

Best Dinner Course with Chef Paulo - Cooking with Chef Paulo was a transformative experience for me! We were a group of five and Chef Paulo created a positive, warm, inclusive, and rigorous learning environment. He assessed our skill levels and differentiated his instruction to challenge each of us. We laughed and learned and enjoyed the entire process. I will use every single technique we learned including poaching, braising, ice cream, reduction techniques, and various knife skills. Chef Paulo also taught us the science behind many of the methods and the importance of proper ingredient selection. It was hands down my favorite part of my visit in Paris and I am even considering a career change!

Great class-book direct - The cooking class and chef, Frederic, definitely 5 stars! However, Viator gets ZERO stars. Book DIRECTLY with Le Foodist, the tour operator. Even though Viator indicates a market visit and confirms it, you may not get it, especially if you book a Monday when markets are closed. Viator completely inflexible when a typo, on my part, led to rescheduling the class and Le Foodist had to enter the reservation “manually.” The reservation was lost but the owner of Le Foodist bent over backwards to correct the mistake and we ended up with a private class. Unneeded stress on our vacation in Paris. Won’t book through Viator again.
