- Due to the tight nature of the catacombs, the catacombs are not advised for those with claustrophobia.
- The catacombs are not wheelchair accessible and not recommended for those with mobility limitations.
- There are 130 steps into the catacombs with no elevator access.
- Areas visited during this tour are subject to closure. Your guide may need to modify areas visited on the day of the tour.
- The catacombs are subject to closures due to strikes. If time permits, we will reach out to you prior to your tour. For last-minute closures, cancellations may be communicated at the meeting point.

Recommended Tour of the Catacombs - Catacombs are a very interesting part of Parisian history. Our guide was very informative. The tour including private access to some very interesting areas!

The underground experience - Being under the streets and buildings of Paris was really neat. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the rock quarries and how the bones were placed down in the tunnels. We were amazed at how many bones were there! We enjoyed hearing all the stories too!

Incredible Tour! - Terrific tour of a fascinating place with an amazing tour guide. Amber is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Paris, the tunnels, the excavation project, and the ossuary. She made sure everyone was in the group at all times, took time to answer questions, and she has access to secret areas the general visitors don’t get to see. The first half of the tour is about the tunnels and how they came to be plus some cool things to see in the tunnels; the second half is the ossuary. It’s not smelly or gross. It’s just fascinating to see and contemplate all those skeletons and how they were transported and arranged so well. Highly recommend visiting the catacombs, and if you’re lucky enough to get Amber as your guide, even better!

An interesting part of history most don’t understand - The guide was amazing. He related the stories and the facts behind what we saw and brought the stories back to life. :-) He was very informative.

Great tour, if you are mobility challenged.... beweare - This was a great tour. Yes, the catacombs are a little creepy but not scary and it does not smell bad down there. The guide got us into some areas that were not available to the general public. Plenty of stories to make it interesting and it was a good walk.
If you have mobility issues, this is not a good tour for you. There are about 5 + flights of stairs to navigate that are on a SPIRAL staircase made of concrete and it can be a bit slick and the steps are not evenly spaced.
Once you get down into the catacombs the floor/ground is relatively easy to walk on but the walking is long and required. Once the tour is done, you get to go back up the 5+ flights of spiral stairs.... Its a bit of a work out but well worth it.

Pretty cool stuff! - My family and I enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about the history of the graves of 6 million parisians and the lack of land to bury people.
