Amazing tour of all the best products Parma has to offer! - An incredible full day tour - starting with a tour of a parmigiana-reggiano cheese factory, Basilicanova, that ended with an abundant sampling of 12-month, 24-month, 36-month and 60-month aged parmigiana cheese. Paired with sparkling wine, as well as ricotta and butter they also make. There was an opportunity at the end to buy cheese to take home - vacuumed sealed for air travel. Next stop was the Conti Parma ham factory to learn all about the prosciutto making process, which concluded with another generous sampling of the various cured meats they offer. Then, we had a wonderful 3-course lunch of fresh ricotta cheese and herb filled pasta at a local restaurant, complete with wine and coffee, truly delicious. Our final stop was Acetaia Picci to learn all about the Aceto Balsamica Tradizionale making process, with an exquisite tasting of a 12-year, 20-year, and 25-year balsamico with the sole producer, Marco. Our tour guide Giacomo was nothing short of amazing, he was so knowledgeable and walked us through all three facilities and knew everything about the history and the process. This tour was a truly incredible experience through the Parma region and I would recommend it to everyone!

Wonderful Day Learning About and Tasting the Food of the Parma Region - We absolutely loved this day tour from Parma. Our guide was excellent (May 8th), I apologize for not remembering her name, we did 10 day tours while in Italy in May and I am only now writing the reviews back at home. We took the 7:30 train from Bologna and caught the 18:00 back after the tour. We only had 7 people on the morning part of the tour and 4 of us for lunch and the Balsamic Vinegar visit, felt like a private tour. The visits to the cheese, ham and balsamic vinegar sites were very educational, we learned a lot that we did not know and the tastings were wonderful, especially the 70 month old Parmigiana Reggiano and the 25 year old vinegar! We had a very nice lunch of local dishes in a family owned restaurant. Overall, a very enjoyable day. We highly recommend this tour if staying in Parma or Bologna!
