Highlights
  • Parikia - Parikia, the capital of Paros, is a bustling port where ships arrive and depart year-round, especially from spring through summer, transporting people and goods.
  • Spitaki, House in the old town, Parikia - The most historic part of the town! Not far from the port are the charming whitewashed buildings of Parikia. From the water, you wouldn’t guess there’s such a beautiful network of streets in the old town. We certainly couldn’t believe it! The Cycladic architecture rivals that of Mykonos or Santorini, and it’s easy to get lost in the maze of streets. Atop Parikia’s Old Town is a 13th-century Frankish castle, offering fantastic ocean views from its ruins.
  • Panagia Ekatondapiliani - The Monastery of Panagia Ekatontapiliani in Paros, Cyclades: Located a few meters from the port of Parikia, this church is one of the best-preserved Paleo-Christian monuments in Greece. Legend has it that the original church was built by Saint Constantine, the first Emperor of Constantinople, at the behest of his mother, Saint Helene.
  • Pounta - Situated on the west coast of Paros, Pounta village is known for two things. First, it’s the place where you can catch a boat to Antiparos. Second, Pounta is popular among surfers for its kite center.
  • Antiparos - Located next to Paros Island, Antiparos is one of those Greek islands that has managed to stay off the radar. Despite its proximity to Paros, Antiparos is less crowded but has a cosmopolitan vibe. It’s an ideal destination for laid-back holidays away from the hustle and bustle.
  • Aliki - A picturesque fishing village with a charming port, taverns, and the beach Piso Aliki, which features white pebbles and salt cedars that stretch down to the sea. Aliki is in the southern part of Paros and is named after the salt-marsh (in Greek: aliki) at the village’s edge.
  • Drios - Drios is a small village along the southeast coast of Paros, surrounded by low vegetation and crops. It has a small pier and a narrow beach with small pebbles that widen near the pier. Drios remains one of the greenest villages on Paros, with impressive clusters of trees and large sea pines on both beaches flanking the port.
  • Piso Livadi - Once a calm fishing port, Piso Livadi has been intensely developed into a picturesque resort with many facilities and a very clean sandy beach with trees. Here, you can enjoy fresh fish. Nearby, the long beach of Logaras, awarded a blue flag, is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, spear-fishing, and other water sports, with all the amenities for your stay.
  • Lefkes - The most mountainous and verdant village of Paros, Lefkes was the island’s first capital. Nestled under a pinewood on a hill, its beautiful narrow streets with white joints will impress you. You’ll see old washhouses still used by some housewives, the House of Literature, the picturesque Ramnos street with taverns and shops, and a wonderful view of the sea and Naxos in the background.
  • Naoussa - Naoussa: With its picturesque alleys and a Venetian castle on the beach illuminated at night, Naoussa offers a magical scenery. The marina and the mix of small and large boats, fishing vessels, and yachts add to its charm. Entertainment in Naoussa lasts until the early hours, with a variety of places to go. The city is built amphitheatrically around the second largest bay of Paros, with a port and marina that have been significant since the Komnenos dynasty.

Paros island tour - Very good tour. Cristina was an excellent guide. Weather was much warmer than expected and there were two incidents of ill health so she did a great job. Ideal tour if you want to see as much as possible in one day.

Best day tour of Paros - highly recommended! - The tour took approx 8 hours but our tour guide, Georgia, made the day very enjoyable. She provided us with lots of information about the history of Paros in a chronological order. We thoroughly enjoyed every stop and would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do a full day tour of Paros with the lovely Georgia.

Paros is beautiful! - This was a great way to see the island and all of the main points as well as some of the small fishing towns. The tour guide was very informative and willing to answer any questions. The bus was comfortable with AC and each stop was unique and beautiful. It was one of my favorite tours so far!

Great tour around Paros - Our guide, Maria, was a local to Paros and she was extremely passionate and knowledgable about the island, as well as funny! Briefly experienced all the major towns on the island, with Maria providing historical information about each location and giving us time to explore on our own. Great tour for those who have limited time on Paros and want to see as much of the island as possible.

Amazing way to see the island of Paros - It was a great way to see the whole island and get talked about the history of the island of Paros. We got to see the old port of Paros which is Paroikia and got to see the castle through the town. We then caught a ferry across to the island of Antiparos and the town was so picturesque. We then went to the village of Piso Livadi which is along the southern coast and had lunch there. From there we went to Lefkes which is known for its traditional architectures. then finally. the fishing village of Naoussa. Our tour guide was Maria she was amazing through the whole tour. You get picked up from your hotel and dropped back again. A great way to see the island of Paros. Recommended.

Maria was a lovely lady but the day was mostly get dropped off at a town and have 1 hour of free time to explore - None really, the walk around Parikia was to a closed church and walked passed some interesting tit bits like the statue in the square and the ruined cathedral

Would have been good with a smaller group. - Our tour was packed with cruise ship passengers. 40 people to one guide who remarked that it was a big group. Unlike every other tour we were not even given a bottle of water. Most stops did not have any guidance - instead we were told it was “free time” for us to explore on our own. Although the guide did tell us which parts to explore. We made the most of it as we paid a lot and did not want to be distracted by the group size. The tour may have been better with a smaller group. It was a good way to see round the island. The guide was good and did her best to make the tour enjoyable.
