Very nice - Very nice tour of 3 hours. Partly east and partly west of Épernay. Good explanation and information along the way and on site. Nice, friendly guide. A visit to the vineyards and to a smaller winery with tasting is also really worthwhile.

Great unusual experience - Excellent experience, we had a great time aboard "Louise" traveling through the vineyards around Epernay. Justine our guide was very nice, she showed us interesting places, taught us a lot about Champagne and was able to answer all our questions! The Champagne tasting (after sabring) in the middle of the vines was the highlight of the show. To redo

A journey through the most famous champagne vineyards - Coming to the champagne region without visiting the vineyards is unforgivable, so the best way to do it is the « my vintage tour « The tour is carried out with typical French vintage vehicles and our guide Mr. Romain was perfect. Having been born and raised in the village of Épernay, he knows very well all the best places to fully experience the area, he also tells you in detail about all the various areas of the region and many anecdotes regarding the maisons and their founders, finally a wonderful surprise: we stopped among the rows of Bollinger and we drank a glass of champagne: all at 🔝

Wonderful drive through picturesque countryside and very enjoyable visit to Jean Milan - I originally booked an afternoon tour but apparently that one was quiet and they wanted to move me to the morning tour. I preferred afternoon but after some back and forth many days in advance I agreed on the move to the morning which, as fate would have it, yielded much nicer weather. The van only seats 6 so you are guaranteed a small group. I was surprised how attractive the countryside is with the vineyards, sun and occasional moody cloudy skies. We visited the edge of a vineyard field to talk about the grapes (some helpful visual aids were used) and the small producer Jean Milan where we saw their compact production facilities. I was surprised that the presses which looked more like antiques were actually in use! We sat in the sun in a courtyard at the end and had a very civilised, relaxing tasting of three of their champagnes. You could choose any from the 8 (normally 9 but no samples were available for one of them). I bought a few bottles which were loaded into the van for me. I think it's a good idea to visit a small producer as well as some of the big names in Champagne. A tour like this is great to see the countryside and not be concerned about issues of driving vs alcohol. Our charming guide (and driver!) was good, diplomatic in dealing with two tour members who were confused about the pickup point and helpful in giving a lift at the end to the car park for another pair. If I'm being very critical then her depth of knowledge on wine (beyond Champagne) could be greater but that's difficult when you are young and don't have decades of experience. Her English was good but not as fluent as some of the other people I spoke to on other tours and in shops. I think this was the tour where I considered booking direct but it wouldn't let me book a single place so I ended up booking via Expedia.

Would recommend - but depends on your guide! - We were all really excited to hear all about Champagne as it was our first visit there. The guide (can't remember her name starts with C) picked us up from Ave de Champagne. We were expecting to hear all about Champagne, the secrets of the avenue or any other interesting facts. However, all we got when driving along the Avenue de Champagne were silence, with an occasional 'This on the right is this champange house'. I had to ask many questions to get to know what I needed to know. Got to Ay - drove past one or two champagne houses - the guide just said 'This is... blah blah' literally was just 1min description and go! Entire journey was quiet - then to take a few pictures in the vineyards but not much description or stories about Champagne again - we just took the opportunity to take lots of pictures. I even asked her - so what are the top 10 champagne houses? 'you can find them in magazines or internet' -_- Slightly better at the grower champagne house where she explained the process of champagne making (bare mimimum) as it wasnt that big a champagne house anyway. We did like the champange at this grower champagne house, so bought quite a fair bit! Overall, I think this tour do have the potential to be excellent (love the vintage van, the scenic route, albeit a little hot in summer) but it all boils down to the tour guide you get. I've read reviews that it was great and maybe the tour guide assigned was good , unfortunately, ours were not that great or could be the language so not that chatty at all. End of the day, it all depends on your luck! But I would still book with this company the next time I go back and hopefully get a better guide!

Pleasant way to spend the afternoon! - Fun trip in a vintage bus (no seatbelts, no suspension, très authentique!!). Justine, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the Champagne area and production. We thought we would taste champagne from different producers but it was 3 different types from one small producer - could have been clearer in the description of the outing.
