Short and wonderful trip - Swimming with the turtles 🐢 It was a good trip 🏖️🏖️ But the speakers were not so clear so it wasn’t easy to hear the captain talking

Don’t waste your money - There are quite a few boats that sail out of Protaras Pier - having done virtually all of them I can honestly say that this is the worst by some distance. We hadn’t planned on going on this boat but the boat we wanted left early as it was full. A big boat but it just lacked character (if a boat can have character!!). We were the last boat to leave the pier and the first to return some 20 minutes earlier than advertised. Miserable crew and a viewing area with captive sea life. Trust me - go on a different boat.

Waste of money pick a different boat - What a let down and an expensive unsafe one at that! So we wanted to see Famagusta from the sea, sadly the day was overcast but we actually stopped so far away from Famagusta you need binoculars to see anything anyway. Could vaguely see an outline of the hotels we say another boat which went a lot closer Then we turned around and went towards the caves and the blue lagoon for the first swim stop., The caves he pulled into but not close and spent maybe less than 5 minutes there allowing hardly any time for photos to be taken (our boat was quiet too only around 20 people on it) so I would not like to be on a busy day when everyone is trying to get space to take the photos. Then we moved onto the beautiful blue lagoon we were all looking forward to swimming in the lagoon. Unfortunately the boat stopped nowhere near the lagoon instead we where MUCH further out into the sea, the water was choppy and unsafe to swim in my own husband a very strong swimmer and another man also a strong swimmer the only ones able to go in the water both struggled with the current and the other man really needed help to get back to the boat as the boat drifted from him!! The staff were rude and unhelpful!! The captain then pulled the boat so it was in the lagoon and in line with 2 other boats whose passengers where enjoying the swim in safer calmer waters we all on board assumed he would stop so the 30 minute swim stop could be resumed, Instead we turned back to go back towards the turtle stop where we could have another swim, assuming that we would spend longer there…. We didn’t again the captain pulled in much further out than another boat already stppped there, but it was at least calmer to swim, however after 15 minutes the horn of the ship sounded and we where all told to get back on the boat., We then headed back to the pier. The aquarium under the boat is grim and smelly you can smell diesel /petrol fumes and the claustrophobia feeling is huge again we where such a quiet boat I would not like to go down on a busy day! After the swim stops you get a slice and I mean a tiny slice of fruit (we got 2 slices as it was quiet) while other boat trips are giving away a free glass of wine or soft drink as well as fruit, The boat trip was supposed to last from 11.00 - 13.30 Instead we set off at 11.10 and got back to the pier at 13.05 Such a disappointing waste of money €60 for a rubbish trip feels a lot! Do not waste your money on it as it feels like that is all they are interested in, not value for money and certainly not passenger safety! If I had my time over I would go on a different boat trip.
