Highlights

Madre de Dios Region - We will depart at 9:00 am, we will take a tour of the Madre river
from God by boat, about an hour until we reach
Our Lodge “AMAZON MOUNT LODGE” once
We will do a walk of about 5 min. Until
facilities, there we will begin the adventure:
We will do a small walk on the Canopy Walk-Way, about
30 meters high, which will allow us to appreciate nature
from the highest possible, we will also have a view
panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. From the platforms
we will observe different species of birds, such as toucans,
macaws, tangaras, orioles, will be an experience
wonderful.
Then we prepare for an activity of challenges about
trees over 30 meters high, for this activity
We will have an instructor guide who will give us a talk about how
use the safety harness for the Zip-line, feeling the
adrenaline when sliding through the trees.
In the afternoon the challenge is to cross the Madre de Dios River in
Kayak, for which we will have life jackets.
Finally we will visit the “island of the monkeys”, located opposite
to our Lodge across the Madre de Dios River where
we will find different species like the monkey family
Capuchins, monks who live on the island.
After the afternoon tour, we will return to the
Puerto Maldonado city, at 5 or 5:30 pm
Approximately we will arrive in the city.
INCLUDES: interpretive guide, lunch, transportation (Airport-
Lodge), boots.

We'll Worth It! - Fantastic value for the money for a trip to experience the Amazon rain forest and the Madre De Dios river system. Great food at at a really nice resort. We would have stayed here if we knew about it beforehand. Teens loved it too!

Do not recommend - It wasn't really full day adventure. Activities took maybe 2-4h in total. Most of the time we were sitting and waiting for those activities. Organization was chaotic and timeline was changed for almost every activity. Also, be careful with pick up option. You may not get picked up from your hotel.

Worst experience in Peru - This was by dar the worst experience we had in Peru, if not ever.
The activities are made up of 2 min kayak, 1 single hangbridge as canapy tour and 2 short ziplines. Monkey Island only inhabits 12 monkeys, so you might be lucky to spot one. So not even close to the expected.
But the worst of all was the lack of communication. No one at the lodge knew what the experience should include. We were send from boat to boat and guide to guide. No one wanted to "deal" with the single day tourists. The people that booked a multi-day tour were treated much differently. But we had to get mad before we got a chance to do anything. By 12:00 we had only sat on different boats, no activities jet.
When we got back to the office and told them our complaints they ignored us again. They only said that we had done everything so that we couldn't get a refund. But 2min of doing a activity is not the same as actually doing anything. They did not even apologize for the way they treated us.
I would not recommend this company. Stay far away and find another place to spend your money!
