Highlights
  • Khao Wang (Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park) - Khao Wang or Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park is a notable tourist site in Petchaburi Province; it is the symbol of the province. Khao Wang is very outstanding and obviously be seen from a far distance, including the white chedi and buildings. Khao Wang is the ancient remains of Petchaburi Province which are located on the 92-meter-high mountain.
We will take the Cable Car to go to the Top of the Mountain.
  • Wat Mahathat Worawihan - Centrally located, gleaming white Wat Mahathat is one impressive temple. The showpiece is a 42m-tall five-tiered Ayuthaya-style prang (corn-cob shaped stupa) decorated in stucco relief, a specialty of Phetchaburi’s local artisans you’ll see all over town. Inside the wí·hāhn (sanctuary) that fronts it are important, though highly damaged, early-20th-century murals.
  • Tham Khao Luang Cave - About 4km north of town is Khao Luang Cave, a dramatic stalactite-stuffed cavern that’s one of Thailand’s most impressive cave shrines, and a favorite of King Rama IV when he was a monk. Accessed via steep stairs, it’s lit by a heavenly glow every morning (clouds permitting) when sunbeams filter in through the natural skylight.

Informative and enjoyable small group trip - The trip was really well organised and very good value. The air-conditioned minibus was very comfortable and arrived at the chosen pickup point on time. We were a small group of 5 and were looked after very well by our friendly and knowledgeable guide Pom. The temples and the cave particularly were quite spectacular and we were allowed enty of time to walk around and take photos. The lunch stop was good Thai food and they catered for my vegetarian diet very well. Overall a good experience and highly recommended.

Buddha's light shines everywhere - The cave is so big, and the Buddha statues inside are very solemn. The light that enters at different times makes the scenery inside constantly changing. It is very amazing and worth a visit, Amitabha!

Historical - Tour guide was great; very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. The sites were intriguing and have a lot of history. A good number of stairs but if moderately fit, it's not too bad.
