More than those attractions mentioned in the tour. A leap through time.. - In addition to the planned activities, I was able to visit two heritage churches that date back to the late XVII century. Now, my question is why so many in Bohol!? Perhaps for most visitors, these visits do not mean much, but for those who are interested in history (the initial connections between Bohol and the Western world) are very important. Perhaps an expanded version of a tour with historical glimpses might be very attractive. Fortunately, my guide, Absalom, was eager to show me those precious sites. Lucky me! I was in the only tour that started from Tagbilaran!

Well-recommended tour! - Our driver/tour guide, Kuya Silo went above and beyond to make the tour interesting! His wit and friendly personality made us feel comfortable right away. We accomplished a lot in the short amount of time. Tarsier Sanctuary and Loboc River Lunch cruise are our favorite. Well-recommended tour!

Almayor! - We had such a great day with Almayor! He was great at responding and was so friendly and knowledgable about the island! We went to the Tarsiers early before it got busy which was perfect! The chocolate hills were great also! Almayor made us feel so comfortable and was a great driver all day, making small stops along the way to show us some extras! What a great day out!!

A must do tour on Bohol - The driver was very knowledgeable and attentive. The itinerary was excellent and we were not disappointed by the Tarsier and Chocolate Hills experiences, along with the few short stops in between. The disappointment was the floating restaurant. We were all hungry but the food was very disappointing. The buffet Looked inviting but tasted terrible.

Avoid because of the terrible tarsier sanctuary - The actual organisation of this tour itself was fine - no problems with that at all. The visit to the chocolate hills was fine as was the boat ride which, although very touristy it doesn’t try to hide that fact and it is a bit of fun. The reason for the low rating is because of the tarsier sanctuary. This is a heartbreaking place to visit. These animals are nocturnal and easily scared but tourists are literally pushing Cameras right in front of them. The staff working there are also shocking - encouraging tourists to take photos and not preventing people from making noise. Tarsiers all seem to be conveniently placed right next to paths as well. It’s not a sanctuary, it’s a money making operation. That’s it. Please avoid the sanctuary and unfortunately, this tour if they continue to include it. There is a different tarsier sanctuary on Bohol which is said to be more ethical. I would advise this company to change the visit to be that one and not the one currently used.

We really appreciated the... - We really appreciated the tour and getting to see the tarsiers and chocolate hills. However, for the price we paid for the tour we expected more - for example to have a driver/guide who spoke more fluent English and could give us information on the background/history of the places we were going to. In addition, it’s very disappointing that when we told them we were vegetarian, they said that they do not manage the buffet catering service and cannot accommodate - but because it is a buffet we should be able to find something to eat. In reality we barely did find anything to eat other than rice, some cucumbers and fruit. It should not be difficult to provide us with a sandwich or some stir-fry veggies with rice or something, if only they put the extra effort to make sure we were catered to. I believe that for the price we paid, all of this could have been done.

Decent event schedule, do not recommend for small groups of women. - The trip began well with the tour guide being amicable and knowledgeable. However in the vehicle he was trying to really upsell services for the future as well as for the trip. We decided to go RVing and most went well up until the man doing the photography (which was part of the service we were told) said “don’t forget to give me a tip”. Both male tour guides also kept on giving way too many compliments about looks and when it came to describing the tangier mating season the methods seemed inappropriately described. The lunch on the tour was the best part. Delicious with great views. Tangier viewing isn’t really worth it. Chocolate mountains were amazing. Towards the end between the tour guides there seemed to some sort of cryptic sign language which did not make us feel safe at all, in fact making both of us feel in danger. When we asked to be taken back the tour guide insisted on taking us to a random back road which we did not get out on. When he took us to the port -after us insisting- it turns out, as suspected, we did not need to get out on that random road which later made us feel super uneasy. On the front cover it seems as if this tour would have been great for two female friends. It is not. I do not recommend it at all for solo female travelers or small groups or women. The trip happened 3 weeks ago. If it wasn’t for these events it would have made a decent trip but I feel it’s my obligation to mention how unsafe it made us feel.
