Great Day in St. Maarten - My wife and I went to St.Maarten on a cruise. We booked a private tour through Diedrick SXM Tours and we’re blessed to have Ricky as our guide. He told history of the island and memories of growing up there, took us to places we wanted to see plus some off the beaten path we didn’t know about, gave us ample time to do what we wanted and was very friendly. I would highly recommend Diedrick SXM Tours and especially Ricky. It was a great day and at the end we felt as if we had made a new friend. Thank you for a great experience!

Sint Maarten in a Day! - Family of four, two young adult sons with us, cruising for the first time. Sint Maarten is absolutely beautiful! Our driver Glenn was wonderful, very knowledgeable, accomodating what we wanted to see and always willing to make an extra stop for pictures. We felt very safe with his driving and his recommendations for shopping and a lunch spot. It was easy to see how much he loves his country and welcomes tourists to the area. I would ask for Glenn again if I returned.

Tour - WOW!!! What a great tour and brilliant value for money! Diederick was knowledgeable and so friendly, he couldn't do enough for us, he included my 13yr old who was the only child on our bus be he wasn't excluded at all, I would highly recommend this company, there was unfortunately a woman who complained I've read her review and totally disagree with everything shes wrote, sadly you will always get one that you can't please no matter what is offered to her which was above and beyond, Diederick did not deserve to be treated with her attitude whatsoever. Me my husband and son and everyone on our bus had the loveliest day with lots of laughs and that was down to a well organised tour at amazing value! I wouldn't hesitate to book on our return, thanks for a great day Diederick and Co x

Our tour with Ricky Halley - My wife and I just spent a wonderful day with Ricky, our guide. We we're lucky enough to have him all to ourselves. He took us all over the island and showed us places "off the beaten path". It was absolutely amazing. We fell in love with Saint Martin and he was a big part of that. The secret stash of rum punch was an added bonus! Thanks Ricky. We'll be back to your beautiful home.

WOW! Great location. - I loved the location and would go again. The food and drinks were typical bar service. The servers did not come out to the beach, so you do have to go to the bar yourself.. but no big deal.

Nice tour of island and beach stop - Our guide and driver were great! Was stressful trying to find the van at the meeting point, but we eventually figured it out.

Was good but not great. - The tour company was late to pick up. This tour is ALOT of driving! I wish we would have done something that allowed time to other stuff. We did not get to do things listed in the tour description. We didn't see Calvin the Sea urchin man but instead saw the iguana location. Orient Beach is not running with all the shops closed and only one restaurant it felt disappointing. We spent 1.5 hours here, the water is gorgeous but restaurant didn't open unitl 12 so there wasn't much else to do. You make several Photo Stops, while cool, I wouldn't do that again. The shops in Marigot were nothing special, or at least the part our guide took us. They had all the same stuff in the Terminal . Maho beach we didn't have a lot of time there we did see a few planes but it really isn't a beach for swimming. While we did get to see a lot of things It would have been better I think to invest more time at a few things instead of like 10. It was a lot of time spent in the car. The fook marigot was very expensive as well, don't let them offer you the rice as that adds $10 to your bill. We ordered the BBQ chicken that was $6 but then when we got our bill it was $16. The rice was not included and that isn't mentioned on the menu.

A very disappointing trip. - 45 minutes late starting off on our tour. It was over booked so they put 8 of us in a taxi and consequently we had absolutely no information about the island. A taxi ride as opposed to a tour. The itinerary had changed so we had only 30minutes at a beautiful sandy beach and they left us for 2 hours on the airport beach which was quite frankly, hell on earth. Dierdrick and his wife were a very abrasive couple, very rude and not in the least helpful. After much discussion and I’ll feelings, we did get a small refund. I would not recommend them at all.

Could have been better... - I have reached out to the company with my concerns and would like to establish that our guide, Edwin, was phenomenal! However, I looked at many different tours before booking this one. I felt this gave us what we wanted- beach time (particularly at Maho) and a little bit of shopping. It was a bit pricey at $90/person. When we arrived, the woman who met us was grateful we were on time as the tour was to start at 9. We didn’t leave until 9:45, after we had waited an hour. The other party had just arrived. The tour was informative, with brief stops for photos at scenic overlooks. However, some of the other guests didn’t want to get out for these. Not a big deal. The first beach was gorgeous. We stayed for 1.5 hours. The plan was to shop in Marigot but this was not possible as there were labor riots. In addition, there was no running water due to the riots as well. We then went on to Maho Beach. The guests with us wanted to stay for 30 minutes as opposed to the up to 2 hours proposed by our guide. We compromised and stayed 1 hour. All told, our 6 hour tour lasted less than 5 and we waited around almost an hour just for it to start. We learned a lot and saw some beautiful sights but if you are booked with others who may not want to enjoy the island as the tour is layed out, you may be disappointed. When I contacted the company about this I was accused of not caring about the elderly and not being patient enough to wait 5 minutes for others (again, it was 45).
